Tokyo Station to Ikaho Onsen
Direct 3–3.5h door-to-ryokan
Fixed price from ¥54,000
Door-to-door from your Tokyo hotel
Final-leg bus skip (no train reaches Ikaho)
By public transport, Tokyo Station to Ikaho Onsen requires 3.5–4 hours with 3 transfers: Joetsu Shinkansen to Takasaki, JR Joetsu Line to Shibukawa, then a 25-minute Kan-Etsu bus up to the onsen village — and no train reaches Ikaho itself, so the final bus or taxi is mandatory. A private car picks you up at your Tokyo hotel or Tokyo Station and drops you at your Ikaho ryokan on the famous Ishidan-gai (365 stone-step shopping street) in about 3 to 3.5 hours via the Kan-Etsu Expressway. Ikaho is one of Gunma's four famous onsen (alongside Kusatsu, Shima, and Minakami), known for reddish iron-rich hot springs and the stone-step main street lined with ryokan, arcade game parlors, and old wooden shops. Best for couples wanting a compact weekend onsen escape from Tokyo, or for travelers combining with Kusatsu (we also offer an Ikaho + Kusatsu routing).
