Haneda Fixed-Fare Taxi Options Compared (2026 Prices)

Quick AnswerHaneda's teigaku taxi (Nihon Kotsu: Chiyoda ¥7,600 / Shibuya ¥8,500 / Shinjuku ¥9,000, sedan, tolls extra, ~15–18% night markup) is genuinely the cheapest door-to-door ride for 1–3 daytime travelers — take it. RydAgent's ¥16,000 all-in Alphard (any 23-ward address, tolls included, same price 24/7) wins when it's 4 people + 4 suitcases, a late-night landing, or overseas guests; and for groups of 6–9 the 9-seat HiAce at ¥20,000 (¥2,222/person) is the only single-vehicle option in Japan. The Honest Opener

Unlike Narita, Haneda is an airport where the taxi companies' fixed fares are genuinely cheap. This comparison doesn't hide that — it shows exactly where each option wins, with every number from the operators' own pages (checked July 2026).

Taxi source: Nihon Kotsu's Haneda fixed-fare page (no vehicle-class selection listed — ordinary taxi vehicles).

What the price gap actually buys: vehicle class. ¥9,000 is an ordinary taxi (4 pax, 2–3 cases). Our ¥16,000 is a premium Alphard MPV — 4 passengers plus 4 large suitcases — with flight tracking and English support. It's not the same ride costing ¥7,000 more; it's a class above. If you don't need that, take the taxi.

The Option Most Comparisons Skip: the Limousine Bus

Tokyo Airport Transport runs coaches from Haneda to Tokyo Station (Yaesu North Exit, around ¥1,000) and Shinjuku (about ¥1,300 adult, ¥650 child), among many other stops. Bags go in the hold, so you never lift a case onto a rack or down a staircase — which is exactly the complaint most people have about the train. If your hotel sits at or near a stop, this is often the best answer on the page and we'd rather name it than quietly leave it out.

Two limits worth knowing. It drops at terminals and major hotels, not at your address, so a hotel three streets away means a taxi at the end anyway. And your terminal changes the ride: Tokyo Station is roughly 40 minutes from Terminal 1, 45 from Terminal 2 and about 55 from Terminal 3 — Terminal 3 being the international one, so arriving overseas visitors face the longest of the three. Same-day boarding is normally fine, but peak departures can fill.

What About Uber and GO?

Both work at Haneda and mostly dispatch the same licensed taxis the companies already run. Uber Taxi on this route lands around ¥8,400–14,600 depending on distance, traffic and hour, tolls on top; Uber Premier brings an Alphard-class car at roughly ¥7,700–15,900, surge-dependent and only priced when you request. Set that against Nihon Kotsu's published ¥7,600–9,000 and the taxi company's fixed fare is usually both cheaper and more predictable than opening an app. The one thing neither can do is seat more than five — that limit is uniform across ride-hail in Japan.

Pick by Scenario

  • 1–2 light travelers: the train. Done.
  • Hotel at or near a bus stop: the limousine bus — bags in the hold, no stairs, about ¥1,000–1,300.
  • 1–3, normal bags, daytime: the teigaku taxi — cheapest door-to-door, and cheaper than the apps.
  • 4 people + 4 suitcases: a sedan can't take it. One Alphard is ¥16,000, which works out to ¥4,000 a head against ¥500–700 on the train — you're paying roughly ¥3,400 per person to skip the stairs and the changes.
  • Travelling with an infant or toddler: ordinary taxis in Japan carry no child seats; we fit infant, child or booster seats at ¥2,000 each, installed before we reach the terminal.
  • Late-night arrival or dawn departure: see below — this is where the options genuinely thin out.
  • 6–9 people: the ¥20,000 HiAce at ¥2,222 per person — no app in Japan has a vehicle above 5 seats.

Red-Eyes and Dawn Flights

Haneda operates around the clock; its ground transport doesn't quite. Trains stop overnight and restart with first departures roughly 04:59–05:26. Late-night access buses run between about midnight and 04:30 to Shinagawa and Kamata — genuinely useful if you're headed that way, but a short list of destinations rather than your hotel door. Teigaku taxis run all night at their night rate, which puts Shinjuku around ¥10,500 plus tolls.

Going out is the tighter problem. With first trains at 04:59–05:26, a domestic departure after about 06:15 or an international one after about 06:30 is comfortably reachable by rail; earlier than that and the network simply isn't running yet. Limousine bus first departures are later than the trains on most routes, so it's rarely the answer for a dawn flight either. That's the case where a fixed ¥16,000 booked in advance stops being a comfort choice and becomes the only reliable one — and it's why we'd rather publish the train's first-departure window than let you assume you'll figure it out at 4 AM.

This was such an easy stress free experience. I have taken many airport transfers and this was by far the easiest and most efficient experience I have ever had. The communication was frequent and proactive. I cannot say enough about this company. 100% recommend

The driver contacted us as soon as we landed in Tokyo. He provided clear instructions how to meet after we got our luggage. He had to wait an extra 30 mins since our plane was delayed. Great service, great / clean car and a nice ride to our hotel. Thanks.

My wife and I had a flawless experience using this transfer service from Tokyo's Haneda Airport to Central Tokyo. Although we are in our 70s, we are experienced travelers and usually take public transit or a taxi from airports to hotels. However, this was our first trip to Asia and with a 12-hour flight from Chicago, we decided that we needed to make the hotel transfer easy. And it was. Communication with the company was excellent. They messaged me through WhatsApp several times to make everything was clear. In fact, I messaged them when we landed, that the plane was an hour early and hoped they could pick us up sooner. They responded yes and sure enough our driver,John, was there to meet us past customs. John was very friendly and very professional. His English was excellent. He handled the luggage. The vehicle was comfortable. He made us feel welcome. I highly recommend them and would use them again without hesitation.

Great experience using this private transfer from our hotel to Haneda Airport. Booking was easy, and when we needed to adjust our pickup time, the operator was very responsive. The driver arrived on time and the ride was smooth and stress-free. Would definitely use again.

Professional service that takes the stress out of airport transfers. Our family has been to Tokyo a few times. Airport transfer by train, taxi, and private car. This service is good value, especially for groups. We had a very comfortable and well kept vehicle. Driver was very professional, polite, and easy to work with. We had an hour long flight delay and sat on the runway for 20 minutes after landing. This service was very flexible and helpful through the situation. Driver was patiently waiting when we arrived.

Karazawa Ryou was our driver. He texted us his contact info via Whatsap the day before our flight. In between flights, we learned that our connecting flight had been delayed. Instead of arriving at 9:15pm, we would now be arriving at I1:30pm. Such a significant amount of delay time...plus, arriving so much LATER at night, I was worried that our driver would no longer be able to pick us up. I notified him, and he responded, "Don't worry. I'll wait for you. See you later." He even included a smiley face! I went from panic to peace in an instant. As we were exiting the plane, I received a text from him notifying me that we had landed at Terminal 2, so it would be quicker to get out. I should let him know once we had picked up our luggage, and he would be at the exit within one minute with a sign. I was pleasantly surprised at how smoothly this process went, and the SUV exceeded my expectations. It was lush and immaculately clean. I commend the driver on his professionalism and would not hesitate to hire him again. This experience was BETTER THAN PERFECT!

Excellent experience from start to finish. Communication before arrival was clear and professional, and the driver was waiting exactly as instructed after we cleared customs at Haneda Airport. After a long international flight, having a smooth private transfer to our hotel made a huge difference. The vehicle was clean and comfortable, the ride was efficient, and the entire process felt very organized and stress-free. We especially appreciated the prompt responses and easy coordination through WhatsApp. Highly recommend KJ Tour for anyone arriving in Tokyo and wanting a reliable, comfortable airport transfer experience.
