How close to pickup you can book RydAgent depends on where the ride starts, and the calendar is open year-round, so you can also book as far ahead as you like. Online booking: in the Tokyo and Osaka–Kyoto areas (including Narita, Haneda, Kansai, Itami and Kobe airports), up to 4 hours before pickup — bookings made between 20:00 and 08:00 Japan time can start from 12:00; elsewhere, and for charters, until 20:00 Japan time the day before the ride. Subject to availability. For anything sooner, message us on WhatsApp and we'll check whether a car can be arranged. Booking late costs the same fixed price — no rush fee, no night surcharge.

How the booking cut-off works

    Tokyo and Osaka–Kyoto areas: 4 hours ahead

    Transfers that start within about 50 km by road of central Tokyo, or of central Osaka or Kyoto — Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe and Nara — and pickups at Narita, Haneda, Kansai, Itami and Kobe airports. Book at 09:00 and the earliest pickup is 13:00.

    Booking at night

    In those areas, bookings made between 20:00 and 08:00 Japan time can start from 12:00 — book at 22:00 and the earliest pickup is 12:00 the next day.

    Everywhere else, and hourly charters

    Online booking runs until 20:00 Japan time the day before the ride; after 20:00, the earliest date is the day after tomorrow. Pickups roughly 50 km or more from a vehicle base, such as Takayama or Karuizawa, also need 24 hours' notice — airports are exempt.

Does booking at the last minute cost more?

No. Booking late costs the same fixed price as booking months ahead: no rush fee, no night surcharge. Free cancellation runs until 24 hours before pickup, so a booking made inside 24 hours is non-refundable.

Is it worth booking early?

Booking early costs nothing extra up front: for rides more than 48 hours away, you can reserve now and pay later — ¥0 today, with the fare charged 48 hours before pickup — and cancel free until 24 hours before. Fixed routes are confirmed instantly.

My wife and I had a flawless experience using this transfer service from Tokyo's Haneda Airport to Central Tokyo. Although we are in our 70s, we are experienced travelers and usually take public transit or a taxi from airports to hotels. However, this was our first trip to Asia and with a 12-hour flight from Chicago, we decided that we needed to make the hotel transfer easy. And it was. Communication with the company was excellent. They messaged me through WhatsApp several times to make everything was clear. In fact, I messaged them when we landed, that the plane was an hour early and hoped they could pick us up sooner. Professional service that takes the stress out of airport transfers. Our family has been to Tokyo a few times. Airport transfer by train, taxi, and private car. This service is good value, especially for groups. We had a very comfortable and well kept vehicle. Driver was very professional, polite, and easy to work with. We had an hour long flight delay and sat on the runway for 20 minutes after landing. This service was very flexible and helpful through the situation. Driver was patiently waiting when we arrived.

Karazawa Ryou was our driver. He texted us his contact info via Whatsap the day before our flight. In between flights, we learned that our connecting flight had been delayed. Instead of arriving at 9:15pm, we would now be arriving at I1:30pm. Such a significant amount of delay time...plus, arriving so much LATER at night, I was worried that our driver would no longer be able to pick us up. I notified him, and he responded, "Don't worry. I'll wait for you. See you later." He even included a smiley face! I went from panic to peace in an instant. As we were exiting the plane, I received a text from him notifying me that we had landed at Terminal 2, so it would be quicker to get out. I should let him know once we had picked up our luggage, and he would be at the exit within one minute with a sign. I was pleasantly surprised at how smoothly this process went, and the SUV exceeded my expectations. It was lush and immaculately clean. I commend the driver on his professionalism and would not hesitate to hire him again. This experience was BETTER THAN PERFECT!
