This was such an easy stress free experience. I have taken many airport transfers and this was by far the easiest and most efficient experience I have ever had. The communication was frequent and proactive. I cannot say enough about this company. 100% recommend

Frequently Asked Questions
On this route, usually yes — the train is the cheapest per person (¥1,000–1,400) but means 1–2 transfers dragging luggage; a private car is direct door-to-door and fixed at ¥23,000; for a party of 4 that's ≈¥5,750 each with zero transfers. Per person, one or two travellers with light luggage will still pay less on public transport — the private car wins on luggage, group size and not changing trains, not on being the cheapest.
The most direct rail route is the Tokyu Tōyoko Line (東急東横線), Keikyū Main Line (Ltd. Express) (京急本線快特), Toei Asakusa Line (都営浅草線), Keisei Oshiage Line (京成押上線), then the Hokusō Line (北総線) — 2 hr in total with 1–2 transfer(s), around ¥1,000–1,400 per person. No reservation needed — just tap a Suica or Pasmo IC card (or buy a paper ticket from the machines) and board any train. If that works for your group and your luggage, take it — it's cheaper than we are and we'd rather you got there happily than overpaid us.
About 1 hr for the roughly 57 km door-to-door. By comparison, the train is 2 hr with 1–2 transfers.
A taxi's real advantage is that it's there without booking, and for one or two people with light bags that's often the sensible choice — we won't pretend otherwise. Where it fits less well is the longer run to Shibamata. The fare is metered — for this distance it runs about ¥25,000–35,000 with the expressway tolls and booking fee on top, and the meter climbs higher in heavy traffic or with a 20% night surcharge between 22:00 and 05:00. Booked through an app, the figure you accept at request time is an estimate — the card is charged whatever the meter and the taxi company's pickup fee actually come to. A sedan taxi seats only 4 with room for a bag or two, can't fit a child seat, and with a language barrier it's hard to explain exactly where you need to go. We're fixed at ¥23,000 — less than the meter, with tolls and any night surcharge included; no pickup fee, no return fee, no clock running at red lights or in traffic, and apart from waiting beyond the free allowance nothing else is ever charged — and you get a premium Alphard or a HiAce (up to 9 passengers), child seats on request, and a driver who picks you up at your door, on time.
A note before comparing: Uber's premium tiers (Black / Premier) only cover pickups in Japan's major metro areas and a handful of airports, and Osanbashi Pier isn't on Uber's published coverage list as of July 2026 — so for this pickup it's usually not a bookable option at all. Uber's standard tier, where the app has cars, dispatches a regular metered taxi (about ¥25,000–35,000 here). Our fixed ¥23,000 is booked and confirmed in advance with tolls included, with a HiAce (up to 9 passengers) available — in areas like this, pre-arranged is really the only door-to-door that you can count on.
Before pickup we text or email you a link to your booking page — your driver's name, car and plate once assigned, and a chat with your driver or our team. The driver then meets you at your Osanbashi Pier pickup point and loads your luggage. You leave exactly when you want; we handle the route, tolls and parking.
Per seat, the train usually wins on paper — around ¥1,000–1,400 per person on this route. But one full-size HiAce (up to 9 passengers) is ¥26,000 fixed for the whole vehicle: ¥2,889 per person with 9 aboard, ¥4,333 with 6 — door-to-door, luggage loaded for you, no station transfers. And since nothing bookable at a taxi rank, on Uber or on a chauffeur app in Japan seats more than 5, from 6 people the van isn't just competitive per person — it's the only way the whole group rides in one vehicle.
The Alphard seats up to 4 with 4 large suitcases plus personal bags on your lap (with fewer passengers, empty seats carry luggage too: passengers plus large suitcases up to 8); the HiAce seats up to 9 with 9 large suitcases (passengers plus large suitcases up to 18) — a full-size van that Uber and the taxi apps don't offer (their largest options seat 5) and that jumbo taxis only match by advance reservation through a taxi company, so your whole group stays together in one vehicle. We can't see your bags in advance, so if passengers plus large suitcases go over those totals, we'd suggest the HiAce or a second car — a suggestion, not a requirement. Infant and child seats (both forward-facing) and booster cushions are ¥2,000 each and need to be booked in advance.
A private transfer is a direct ride. One short stop on the way — under 30 minutes, such as a photo or a convenience store — can be added with Driver assistance (¥3,000 Alphard / ¥4,000 HiAce) when you book; write the stop in your booking notes. For two or more stops, or any stop of 30 minutes or more, book a private charter by the hour instead — the car waits while you sightsee. On drives of more than two hours, restroom breaks on the way are free.
Every booking includes: a dedicated agent from booking to drop-off; a door pickup confirmed with you in advance; our driver-no-show guarantee — if a driver doesn't show, your ride is free: we refund your fare in full, cover whatever you took instead (taxi, train, no cap), and add ¥10,000. No claim needed; we contact you first. Every booking also includes an English-speaking agent paired with a licensed professional driver; the founder's direct line for any escalation; and one fixed price with tolls, late-night charges and parking all included.
Cancel 24 hours or more before pickup for a full refund, free of charge — date, time or destination changes in the same window are free as well (any fare difference is settled). Within 24 hours of pickup the fare isn't refundable. Refunds are returned to your original payment method within two weeks.
Yes — and unlike Daikoku Pier, this is a genuine option. Osanbashi sits in central Yokohama and is served by bus from Yokohama Station and Sakuragicho Station, with Nihon-Odori and Motomachi-Chukagai stations within walking distance for a light traveller. A private car earns its price here on embarkation and disembarkation days, when you are moving a cruise-sized set of suitcases rather than a daypack. If you are travelling light and not in a hurry, public transport to Osanbashi is a reasonable call.
It depends on the ship's size, not the cruise line. Osanbashi is the central terminal; Daikoku Pier, opened in 2019 outside the Yokohama Bay Bridge, handles vessels too large to pass under the bridge. Lines that call at Yokohama may use either across different sailings. The terminal is printed on your boarding documents — worth checking before you book a transfer, because the two are a 20-plus-minute drive apart and Daikoku has no station of its own.
Yes. The price you see is the price you pay — tolls, parking, fuel and taxes are all included. Free waiting at pickup is 30 minutes. Tipping is never expected — never required. The only extras are options you choose yourself, such as child seats or waiting beyond the free allowance. After the free 30 minutes your driver may have another booking, so he can wait longer only if his schedule allows — if you might be late, tell us as early as possible; if he can't wait, we do our best to make it work, and if that isn't possible he has to leave and the ride is cancelled without a refund. Any extra waiting is ¥6,000/hour for an Alphard and ¥8,000/hour for a HiAce, in 15-minute blocks (under 15 minutes is free). If we get no reply from you on any channel the day before and on the day itself, the driver may leave once the free 30 minutes are up — that counts as a no-show and is not refunded. About ¥1,710 (ETC) on this route, and it is already inside the fixed ¥23,000 — you never pay tolls, parking or fuel separately. The figure is Google's toll estimate for the usual expressway routing; the exact amount can differ slightly by entry and exit or time of day, and it never changes what you pay.
