Baycurrent Classic 2026: Shuttle-Only Access to Yokohama Country Club
Wasn't this the ZOZO Championship at Narashino?
It was, until 2025. The tournament took a new title sponsor and became the Baycurrent Classic Presented by LEXUS, and it moved from Narashino Country Club in Inzai, Chiba to Yokohama Country Club (1025 Imai-cho, Hodogaya-ku, Yokohama). If you are working from a guide written before that, everything in it about Chiba, the Hokuso line and staying near Narita no longer applies — you are now going to the far side of Yokohama instead.
The 2026 edition runs 8–11 October (Thursday to Sunday), with practice rounds on 5–6 October (Monday and Tuesday).

Which shuttle station should you use?
- Higashi-Totsuka sits on the JR Yokosuka and Shonan-Shinjuku lines, so it is a direct ride from Tokyo, Shinagawa and Shinjuku for most spectators.
- Futamatagawa is on the Sotetsu line and is quick from Yokohama Station — but the shuttle there only exists Thursday to Sunday.
That second line is the trap worth planning around. Build a practice-round day on 5 or 6 October out of Futamatagawa and there will be no shuttle waiting for you: on those two days Higashi-Totsuka is the only one running.
Is there parking for spectators?
The official access page lists shuttle buses and nothing else. Neither that page, nor the tournament guidelines page, nor the City of Yokohama's event page mentions a spectator car park. Until the organisers publish something to the contrary, plan on not driving yourself — and check the official access page again in the week before you go, since these details do get added late.
When does a private car actually make sense?
Often it doesn't, and it is worth saying so plainly. If you are one or two people starting from central Tokyo or Yokohama, take the train to Higashi-Totsuka or Futamatagawa and use the shuttle. It costs a few hundred yen and it puts you at the gate. Nothing beats that on price.
A car earns its place in three situations:
- A group of five to nine. One HiAce from Haneda is ¥21,000, which is about ¥2,333 each — below what nine separate train fares plus the walk to and from stations tends to cost in patience, if not always in yen.
- Landing the same day. Coming in at Haneda or Narita with clubs and cases and then changing trains is the part people regret.
- Being there before the queues. Shuttles start at 06:00 on tournament days and the organisers themselves flag peak-time congestion.
Current fixed prices to the Yokohama area: Haneda ¥17,000 (Alphard, up to 4) or ¥21,000 (HiAce, up to 9), about 25 minutes. Narita ¥33,000 for either vehicle, about 1.5 hours. Central Tokyo ¥23,000 or ¥26,000, about 50 minutes.

By train you would ride into Yokohama and out again to Higashi-Totsuka or Futamatagawa, then take the shuttle — cheaper, around an hour, and fine if you are travelling light.
What's the cheapest way to attend for a group of 6?
If you are already in Tokyo or Yokohama, the train plus the free shuttle, every time — six train fares still come to a fraction of any car. The car only wins the arithmetic when you are starting from an airport with luggage: one HiAce from Haneda is ¥21,000 for all six, door to gate, against six separate airport fares plus two changes.
