Toyota Alphard: 4 Seats, 4 Suitcases, With Driver

The Alphard is the executive MPV that Uber Tokyo sells as Premier and Black, and Blacklane as its 'Business Van'. We run the same class of car with one difference in how you pay: a fixed, prepaid, all-inclusive price — Narita → Tokyo ¥24,000, while the app-metered equivalent ran ¥29,000–34,000 plus tolls in our June 2026 checks. Same car, no meter, no surge — and a child seat already fitted if you asked for one.

Black Toyota Alphard premium MPV
Quick Answer

The Toyota Alphard is a premium MPV seating up to 4 passengers with 4 large suitcases plus 4 personal bags, driven by a professional driver. Prices are fixed per vehicle: Haneda → central Tokyo ¥16,000, Narita → Tokyo ¥24,000 (¥6,000 per person with 4), hourly charter from ¥7,000/hour. It's the same vehicle class Uber Tokyo sells as Premier/Black — app-metered at ¥29,000–34,000 for the same Narita run in June 2026 checks, tolls extra — and Blacklane as its 'Business Van'. Ours is prepaid and fixed, with tolls, meet & greet, flight tracking, 90 minutes of airport waiting and a dedicated English-speaking agent on WhatsApp included. Book in 30 seconds at rydagent.com.

What you're actually booking

4 + 4 + 4 capacity

Up to 4 passengers, 4 large 28" suitcases and 4 personal bags on laps. The base vehicle is a factory 7-seater; we run it as a 4-seater so every case rides inside — the honest limit, not the brochure one.

One fixed price per car

The price is per vehicle, not per person. Tolls, parking and airport meet & greet are included; no meter, no surge, no late-night surcharge. A family of 4 from Narita pays ¥6,000 per person, door to door.

Airport pickup, flight-tracked

Your flight is tracked and the pickup follows your actual landing time. Meet & greet with a name board is standard on direct bookings, with 90 minutes of free waiting counted from touchdown. Past 90 minutes, waiting is ¥6,000 per hour for the Alphard, in 15-minute blocks — and the driver doesn't leave when the free time runs out.

Child seats, fitted in advance

Rear-facing infant seats, forward-facing child seats and booster cushions are ¥2,000 each and installed before pickup — book them in advance. No taxi or ride-hail tier in Japan provides these.

Two-layer service

A Japanese professional driver handles the road. A dedicated English-speaking agent on WhatsApp handles everything else — changes, questions, live updates — before and during the trip.

Charter by the hour

The same Alphard with driver from ¥7,000/hour within Tokyo (minimum 8 hours, 40 km included per hour; tolls, parking and fuel included). A full private day for 4 works out around ¥14,000 per person.

Same class of car — what each channel charges

Benchmark run: Narita → central Tokyo. Our price is from the live booking engine; app and taxi figures are metered estimates for the same run.

N'EX train¥3,140 per person¥3,140Station to station; you handle the luggage

Solo with light luggage? Take the train — ¥3,140 beats everything and we'll say so. Short hop inside the city? Take the Uber; on-demand is what it's best at. The Alphard case is 3–4 people with real luggage and an airport at one end: the same class of car as the apps' top tier, at a lower, fixed, prepaid price.

Inside the car
Toyota Alphard seat layout seen from above — two front seats, two captain chairs and a three-seat rear bench

The Alphard is a 7-seater. We sell it as a 4-seater and fold the rear bench down, so all 4 large suitcases ride inside the car with you — not strapped to a roof or left behind.

Ways to ride an Alphard-class MPV in Tokyo

The car is similar across these channels — the terms aren't. Every cell is a structural fact.

If you value hailing a car on the spot, the apps win — that's what they're built for. What no on-demand channel provides: pre-fitted child seats, an arrivals name board, flight-aware pickup timing, or a price settled before you ride. And if your group is 6–9, no Alphard-class vehicle fits — that's the 9-seat HiAce's job. RydAgent also runs on GetYourGuide as a top-rated supplier — 4.9/5 across 448 reviews on the Haneda route (checked July 2026). Booking direct gets the same vehicle with the arrivals name board and 90 minutes of airport waiting included as standard.

Alphard questions, answered straight

Is a private Alphard cheaper than Uber Premier or Black in Tokyo?

For airport runs, usually yes — and it's the same class of car. Narita → central Tokyo: our Alphard is ¥24,000 fixed and prepaid with tolls and meet & greet included; Uber's Premier/Black in-app estimates for the same run were ¥29,000–34,000 in June 2026, metered, with tolls and booking fee on top and surge possible. For short hops inside the city the math flips — there, take the Uber; we mean that.

Is RydAgent's Alphard the same car Uber uses for Premier and Black?

Same vehicle class, yes. Uber's Tokyo top tiers run Alphard-class MPVs (alongside Crown and Lexus sedans), and Blacklane's Tokyo 'Business Van' is the same class too. The difference is the terms: ours is pre-booked at a fixed prepaid price, with child seats available, a name board at arrivals and flight tracking; the apps are on-demand with metered or dynamic pricing that settles after the ride.

How many people and suitcases really fit in an Alphard?

Four passengers, four large 28-inch suitcases, plus four personal bags on laps. The base vehicle is a factory 7-seater; we cap it at 4 so the luggage genuinely fits inside. If you're 5 or 6 with luggage, one Alphard honestly won't do it — book the 9-seat HiAce or a second car, and we'll tell you which is cheaper.

Do you provide child seats for the Alphard?

Yes — rear-facing infant seats, forward-facing child seats and booster cushions, ¥2,000 each, installed before pickup. Book them with your reservation so the driver arrives with everything fitted. No street taxi or ride-hail tier in Japan offers pre-fitted child seats, which is why families are the Alphard's most common booking.

Is the train cheaper than an Alphard for a family of 4?

Per seat, yes: the N'EX is ¥3,140 × 4 = ¥12,560 versus ¥24,000 for the car (¥6,000 per person). What the difference buys: door-to-door with all four cases loaded for you, no station transfers with children, child seats fitted, and a driver tracking your flight however late it lands. Light luggage and no kids? Take the train — it's excellent.

What happens if our flight is delayed?

We track your flight and the pickup follows your actual landing time — you don't need to tell us or do anything. The 90 minutes of free waiting are counted from the moment you actually land, so immigration, baggage claim and customs are covered. Past 90 minutes, waiting is ¥6,000 per hour for the Alphard, in 15-minute blocks — and the driver doesn't leave when the free time runs out.

Should we book the Alphard or the HiAce?

Alphard: up to 4 passengers + 4 large suitcases, premium MPV comfort. HiAce: up to 9 + 9. The service around both is identical — fixed price, flight tracking, name board. Rule of thumb from our dispatch desk: 5 or more people, or 4 people with heavy luggage, take the HiAce; a couple or family of 4 with normal luggage, the Alphard is the more comfortable ride.

The driver contacted us as soon as we landed in Tokyo. He provided clear instructions how to meet after we got our luggage. He had to wait an extra 30 mins since our plane was delayed. Great service, great / clean car and a nice ride to our hotel. Thanks.

My wife and I had a flawless experience using this transfer service from Tokyo's Haneda Airport to Central Tokyo. Although we are in our 70s, we are experienced travelers and usually take public transit or a taxi from airports to hotels. However, this was our first trip to Asia and with a 12-hour flight from Chicago, we decided that we needed to make the hotel transfer easy. And it was. Communication with the company was excellent. They messaged me through WhatsApp several times to make everything was clear. In fact, I messaged them when we landed, that the plane was an hour early and hoped they could pick us up sooner. They responded yes and sure enough our driver,John, was there to meet us past customs. John was very friendly and very professional. His English was excellent. He handled the luggage. The vehicle was comfortable. He made us feel welcome. I highly recommend them and would use them again without hesitation.

Michael Bakov, Jul 2026

Our driver picked us up at our hotel and dropped us at Haneda Airport Departures (Terminal 3) as requested. It was a very comfortable and safe ride and the vehicle was very clean and spacious. Thank you so much!

Valerie Pendon, Jun 2026

Great experience using this private transfer from our hotel to Haneda Airport. Booking was easy, and when we needed to adjust our pickup time, the operator was very responsive. The driver arrived on time and the ride was smooth and stress-free. Would definitely use again.

Professional service that takes the stress out of airport transfers. Our family has been to Tokyo a few times. Airport transfer by train, taxi, and private car. This service is good value, especially for groups. We had a very comfortable and well kept vehicle. Driver was very professional, polite, and easy to work with. We had an hour long flight delay and sat on the runway for 20 minutes after landing. This service was very flexible and helpful through the situation. Driver was patiently waiting when we arrived.

Karazawa Ryou was our driver. He texted us his contact info via Whatsap the day before our flight. In between flights, we learned that our connecting flight had been delayed. Instead of arriving at 9:15pm, we would now be arriving at I1:30pm. Such a significant amount of delay time...plus, arriving so much LATER at night, I was worried that our driver would no longer be able to pick us up. I notified him, and he responded, "Don't worry. I'll wait for you. See you later." He even included a smiley face! I went from panic to peace in an instant. As we were exiting the plane, I received a text from him notifying me that we had landed at Terminal 2, so it would be quicker to get out. I should let him know once we had picked up our luggage, and he would be at the exit within one minute with a sign. I was pleasantly surprised at how smoothly this process went, and the SUV exceeded my expectations. It was lush and immaculately clean. I commend the driver on his professionalism and would not hesitate to hire him again. This experience was BETTER THAN PERFECT!

Cheryl FitzGerald, May 2026

Very nice transfer service. Very helpful and most pleasant experience. Would use them again.

William Thornton BC Guide Dogs, May 2026

Excellent experience from start to finish. Communication before arrival was clear and professional, and the driver was waiting exactly as instructed after we cleared customs at Haneda Airport. After a long international flight, having a smooth private transfer to our hotel made a huge difference. The vehicle was clean and comfortable, the ride was efficient, and the entire process felt very organized and stress-free. We especially appreciated the prompt responses and easy coordination through WhatsApp. Highly recommend KJ Tour for anyone arriving in Tokyo and wanting a reliable, comfortable airport transfer experience.
