This was such an easy stress free experience. I have taken many airport transfers and this was by far the easiest and most efficient experience I have ever had. The communication was frequent and proactive. I cannot say enough about this company. 100% recommend

Landing at Kansai and catching a domestic flight from Itami? Kansai is the region's main international gateway while Itami handles domestic flights only, and the two are separate airports at opposite ends of the Osaka area — Kansai on a man-made island in southern Osaka Bay, Itami north of central Osaka. Nothing connects them airside, so after an international flight you clear immigration and customs at Kansai, collect your bags and start again at Itami. The direct airport limousine bus costs ¥2,200 per adult, but seats can't be reserved — it's first come, first served — and as of November 2026 it leaves Kansai Terminal 1 only eight times a day, the last at 19:10 (18:54 from Terminal 2), so an evening arrival can easily miss it once immigration and baggage claim are done. There's no direct train either: at least two changes of train across central Osaka, finishing on the Osaka Monorail. A private car follows your flight into Kansai: the driver meets you at arrivals with a name board, your 90 minutes of free waiting start from the actual landing time, and you're dropped at your airline's side of Itami's terminal. RydAgent's Kansai Airport to Itami transfer is one fixed price — ¥36,000 for up to 4 passengers in an Alphard, or ¥40,000 for up to 9 in a HiAce, one vehicle for a group of 5–9 that won't fit in a regular taxi — with tolls included.

Frequently Asked Questions
On this route, usually yes — the train is the cheapest per person (¥1,700–2,800) but means 2 transfers dragging luggage; the highway bus is ¥2,200 and stops at set stops rather than your door; a private car is direct door-to-door, flight-tracked, and fixed at ¥36,000; for a party of 4 that's ≈¥9,000 each with zero transfers. Per person, one or two travellers with light luggage will still pay less on public transport, and a metered taxi (¥26,000–35,000) can come in under our fixed price too — the private car wins on luggage, group size and not changing trains, not on being the cheapest.
The most direct rail route is the Haruka Limited Express (Kansai-Airport Express) (はるか), Hankyu Takarazuka Line (阪急宝塚本線急行), then the Osaka Monorail (大阪モノレール) — 2 hr in total with 2 transfer(s), around ¥1,700–2,800 per person. The Haruka runs direct from Kansai Airport to Tennoji, Osaka, Shin-Osaka and Kyoto. You need a limited express ticket on top of the base fare; there are both reserved and non-reserved cars, so you can board without a reservation and use a non-reserved seat. Japan Rail Pass and JR-West Kansai-area passes cover it. The monorail's Osaka Airport station is directly connected to the Itami (ITM) terminal. If that works for your group and your luggage, take it — it's cheaper than we are and we'd rather you got there happily than overpaid us.
Japan's rail network shuts down overnight — trains stop running around midnight and don't start again until roughly 5 a.m., so there is a genuine window where no train exists at any price. The part people underestimate is that you can't reach a platform the moment the wheels touch down: immigration, baggage claim and customs typically take 30–60 minutes, so a landing at 22:30 can easily mean the last departure has gone before you clear the airport. Departure times change with each timetable revision, so check the exact last services for your own date on Kansai Airport's official rail access page (https://www.kansai-airport.or.jp/en/access/from-airport/train) rather than trusting any figure quoted second-hand. If the trains have gone, the realistic options are a metered taxi — about ¥26,000–35,000 plus tolls for this distance, a range whose upper end already reflects the 20% late-night rate charged between 22:00 and 05:00 — or a car booked in advance. Ours is fixed at ¥36,000 whatever time you land, with no late-night surcharge, and the 90 minutes of free waiting are counted from your actual landing time, so a delayed flight doesn't eat into it.
About 1 hr for the roughly 68 km door-to-door. By comparison, the train is 2 hr with 2 transfers, and the highway bus takes ~1 hr 10–15 min.
The drive leaves KIX on the Sky Gate Bridge — the airport's only road link; expressway tolls for the whole journey are already included in the fixed price. On weekdays the expressways around Osaka are busiest roughly 07:00–09:00 and 17:00–19:00, and holiday mornings add outbound leisure traffic — early-morning, midday and late-evening runs are usually the quickest. The 1 hr / 68 km (42 mi) estimate assumes normal conditions, and the fixed price is the same at any hour — your driver tracks the flight, so a delayed or late-night landing costs nothing extra.
A taxi's real advantage is that it's there without booking, and for one or two people with light bags that's often the sensible choice — we won't pretend otherwise. Where it fits less well is the longer run to Itami Airport. First you queue at the airport taxi rank; then the fare is metered — for this distance it runs about ¥26,000–35,000 with the expressway tolls and booking fee on top, and the meter climbs higher in heavy traffic or with a 20% night surcharge between 22:00 and 05:00. Booked through an app, the figure you accept at request time is an estimate — the card is charged whatever the meter and the taxi company's pickup fee actually come to. A sedan taxi seats only 4 with room for a bag or two, can't fit a child seat, and with a language barrier it's hard to explain exactly where you need to go. We're fixed at ¥36,000 — a guaranteed all-in price, tolls included and no night surcharge; no pickup fee, no return fee, no clock running at red lights or in traffic, and apart from waiting beyond the free allowance nothing else is ever charged — and you get a premium Alphard or a HiAce (up to 9 passengers), child seats on request, flight tracking, and a driver who meets you so you skip the queue.
You can — Uber's Kansai Airport pickup page lists Premier Van (up to 5 passengers) as its premium option. The catch on a run this long is the pricing model: it's dynamic — by our estimate from Uber's Premier rate card, from around ¥25,000 up to ¥38,000 with surge — while we're fixed at ¥36,000 all-in, tolls included, whatever the demand that day. Uber's standard tier (Uber Taxi) simply dispatches a regular metered taxi — about ¥26,000–35,000 plus tolls for this route, billed by the meter plus the taxi company's pickup fee, so the final charge often lands above the in-app estimate. And no Uber tier offers a van for up to 9 passengers. What you're choosing with us is one price prepaid at booking — no pickup fee, no return fee, no surge, no clock running at red lights or in traffic, and apart from waiting beyond the free allowance nothing else is ever charged — plus child seats on request (¥2,000 each) and a driver tracking your flight and waiting at arrivals.
We track your flight and the pickup follows your actual landing time — however long the delay runs, and even if it's only a few minutes late. You don't need to tell us or do anything. Your 90 minutes of free waiting are always counted from the moment you actually land, not from the time you originally booked, so immigration, baggage claim and customs are covered. Past 90 minutes waiting is charged (¥6,000 per hour for the Alphard, ¥8,000 for the HiAce, in 15-minute blocks — under 15 minutes is free), and your driver still doesn't leave: if he has another transfer booked after yours, we reassign it to a different driver so he can keep waiting for you.
Before your flight we text or email you a link to your booking page — your driver's name, car and plate once assigned, and a chat with your driver or our team. Meet-and-greet with a name board in the arrivals hall is standard and already included in the price. At a few airports, parking or access restrictions can make a name board impractical; in that case the driver sends you a photo and their exact location in the chat on your booking page instead. If you can't find each other, wait in the arrivals hall and message your driver or our team from your booking page, or call +81 70-8830-8866 — the driver will come and look for you.
Per seat, the train usually wins on paper — around ¥1,700–2,800 per person on this route. But one full-size HiAce (up to 9 passengers) is ¥40,000 fixed for the whole vehicle: ¥4,444 per person with 9 aboard, ¥6,667 with 6 — door-to-door, luggage loaded for you, no station transfers. For comparison, the largest car Uber lists at Japan's main airports takes 5 passengers, and jumbo taxis for up to 9 passengers have to be reserved in advance through a taxi company; one HiAce carries up to 9 passengers with 9 large suitcases and 9 carry-ons.
The Alphard seats up to 4 with 4 large suitcases plus personal bags on your lap (with fewer passengers, empty seats carry luggage too: passengers plus large suitcases up to 8); the HiAce seats up to 9 with 9 large suitcases (passengers plus large suitcases up to 18) — a full-size van that Uber and the taxi apps don't offer (their largest options seat 5) and that jumbo taxis only match by advance reservation through a taxi company, so your whole group stays together in one vehicle. We can't see your bags in advance, so if passengers plus large suitcases go over those totals, we'd suggest the HiAce or a second car — a suggestion, not a requirement. Infant and child seats (both forward-facing) and booster cushions are ¥2,000 each and need to be booked in advance.
A private transfer is a direct ride. One short stop on the way — under 30 minutes, such as a photo or a convenience store — can be added with Driver assistance (¥3,000 Alphard / ¥4,000 HiAce) when you book; write the stop in your booking notes. For two or more stops, or any stop of 30 minutes or more, book a private charter by the hour instead — the car waits while you sightsee. On drives of more than two hours, restroom breaks on the way are free.
Every booking includes: a dedicated agent from booking to landing; a meet-and-greet in the arrivals hall with a name-board sign; flight tracking with 90 minutes' free wait and any delay covered; our driver-no-show guarantee — if a driver doesn't show, your ride is free: we refund your fare in full, cover whatever you took instead (taxi, train, no cap), and add ¥10,000. No claim needed; we contact you first. Every booking also includes an English-speaking agent paired with a licensed professional driver; an urgent line on the day (call or WhatsApp +81 70-8830-8866 — we reply in English); and one fixed price with tolls, late-night charges and parking all included.
Cancel 24 hours or more before pickup for a full refund, free of charge — date, time or destination changes in the same window are free as well (any fare difference is settled). Within 24 hours of pickup the fare isn't refundable. If the airline cancels your flight or moves it to another day, send us the airline's notice or your new flight details and choose either a free rebooking or a full refund — your choice, even inside 24 hours. Refunds are returned to your original payment method within two weeks.
Yes. The airport limousine bus run by Kansai Airport Transportation Enterprise and Hankyu Kanko Bus goes direct from Kansai to Itami's South and North Terminals in about 1 hour 10–15 minutes from Terminal 1; most departures start at Terminal 2, about 15 minutes earlier. The fare is ¥2,200 per adult and ¥1,100 per child. Seats can't be reserved — it's first come, first served. As of November 2026 there are eight departures a day from Terminal 1, from 07:30 to the last at 19:10 (18:54 from Terminal 2), with gaps of up to three hours in the afternoon, so an evening landing can easily miss the last one once immigration and customs are done. Check the current timetable on the operator's site (https://www.kate.co.jp/en/timetable/detail/ITM) before you fly. If a departure fits your landing and you're travelling light, take the bus — it costs far less per person than a private car.
Plan it backwards from your Itami flight: the airline's check-in and bag-drop cut-off at Itami; the drive across Osaka (the estimate on this page assumes normal traffic, and the expressways around Osaka are slowest at weekday rush hours); and the time it takes at Kansai to clear immigration, collect your bags and pass customs, which varies a lot with the hour and how many flights land together. Then add a real buffer. We track your flight into Kansai, and your 90 minutes of free waiting start from the actual landing time, so a late landing doesn't eat into them. Road conditions are outside anyone's control, though, so we can't promise you'll make a connecting flight — if the gap is tight, a later flight from Itami is the safer plan.
At your airline's side of the terminal. Itami's terminal is split into a North and a South side, so write your airline and onward flight number in the booking notes and the driver will drop you at the right one. Your luggage goes into the car at Kansai and comes out at Itami — no platforms or station stairs in between.
Yes. The price you see is the price you pay — tolls, parking, fuel and taxes are all included, and meet & greet with a name board at arrivals is standard. Free waiting is 90 minutes from your actual landing. Tipping is never expected — never required. The only extras are options you choose yourself, such as child seats or waiting beyond the free allowance. Waiting past the free allowance is ¥6,000/hour for an Alphard and ¥8,000/hour for a HiAce, in 15-minute blocks — and your driver does not leave when it runs out: if he has another transfer after yours, we reassign it so he can keep waiting. The only exception: if we get no reply from you on any channel the day before and on the day itself, the driver may leave once the free 90 minutes from your actual landing are up. Yes. A rydagent.com booking link can carry the whole trip, so you can send it to the person you're booking for, or open one an AI assistant gives you: it opens with the fixed price showing, and nothing is booked until you add your contact details and pay or reserve. For this route with 2 passengers: rydagent.com/en/booking?from=Kansai%20Airport&to=Itami%20Airport&pax=2 — it opens at ¥36,000 for an Alphard (up to 4 passengers), tolls included. Add &date=YYYY-MM-DD&time=HH:MM (Japan time, 24-hour clock; for an airport pickup, your landing time) to fill in the day, and change pax for 1–9 passengers — 5 or more selects the HiAce (up to 9 passengers).
