Takamatsu Airport Transfers (TAK)

For one or two people with carry-ons and a hotel near Takamatsu Station, the Kotoden airport bus — about 45 minutes, ¥1,000 (¥1,300 from 1 October 2026) — is the better buy. A fixed ¥28,000 car (up to 4) or ¥33,000 HiAce (up to 9) is the choice for three or more with cases, a hotel away from the station, a specific Naoshima sailing to make at Takamatsu Port, or Kotohira, Tokushima and the Iya Valley direct — about 30 minutes to Takamatsu Station door to door.

Because we do not yet have a driver base in Kagawa — the nearest is Okayama — and the fixed price includes the cost of positioning a car for your pickup. We would rather show that plainly than hide it in a surcharge. Yes — book the airport to Takamatsu Station route and tell us the sailing: Takamatsu Port is beside the station, and the driver drops you at the Shikoku Kisen terminal. The ferry to Miyanoura on Naoshima takes about 50 minutes (¥520 adult) and the high-speed boat about 30. The car itself does not cross; on the island you are on foot, bicycle or the island bus.

No. Takamatsu Airport is in the hills about 17 km south of the city with no rail link. The Kotoden airport bus runs to Takamatsu Station in about 45 minutes and the Kinkuu bus runs direct to Kotohira in about 48 minutes (¥2,000); beyond those two it is a taxi from the rank. A car takes the group straight from the 1F arrivals lobby to the hotel, the ferry pier or the valley.

Seoul (Air Seoul and Jin Air), Busan, Taipei, Taichung and Hong Kong, with the Shanghai route suspended at the time of writing (checked September 2026 on the airport's site). All of them land in the same 1F arrivals lobby as the domestic flights, so the pickup works the same way whichever you are on.

No. An airport taxi is metered and hailed at the rank on the spot; a Takamatsu Airport private transfer is a pre-booked car at a fixed all-inclusive price, with a named driver who tracks your flight and waits at arrivals with a name board. On longer airport runs the fixed price is usually close to or below the meter; on very short runs a taxi can be cheaper for one person — the comparison table on each TAK route page shows both, with real fares.

As standard, your driver waits in the arrivals hall holding a sign with your name. Collect your bags, clear customs, walk out — the name board is the first thing you look for. If airport conditions ever make a name board impossible (peak-hour parking restrictions, for example), the driver sends you a photo and their exact location in the chat on your booking page, so you are never left searching.

Nothing changes for you. We track the flight number, and free waiting at Takamatsu Airport is 90 minutes counted from the moment the flight actually lands — a delay simply moves the clock. Beyond 90 minutes, waiting is billed in 15-minute blocks (Alphard ¥6,000/hour, HiAce ¥8,000/hour). The driver never leaves without telling you.

If your arriving flight is cancelled by the airline, you choose: a free rebooking to your new flight (free waiting restarts from the new landing time) or a full refund. This applies even inside the 24-hour window before pickup — the cancellation isn't your fault, so it isn't treated as one.

The Toyota HiAce: nine passengers and nine large suitcases in one vehicle, one fixed price. The Alphard takes up to 4 passengers with 4 large cases. With fewer passengers, empty seats carry luggage too (passengers plus large suitcases up to 8 in the Alphard, 18 in the HiAce). Both are shown with prices on every Takamatsu Airport route page.

Yes. The price you see is the price you pay — tolls, parking, fuel and taxes are all included, and meet & greet with a name board at arrivals is standard. Free waiting is 90 minutes from your actual landing. Tipping is never expected — never required. The only extras are options you choose yourself, such as child seats or waiting beyond the free allowance. Waiting past the free allowance is ¥6,000/hour for an Alphard and ¥8,000/hour for a HiAce, in 15-minute blocks — and your driver does not leave when it runs out: if he has another transfer after yours, we reassign it so he can keep waiting. The only exception: if we get no reply from you on any channel the day before and on the day itself, the driver may leave once the free 90 minutes from your actual landing are up.
