This was such an easy stress free experience. I have taken many airport transfers and this was by far the easiest and most efficient experience I have ever had. The communication was frequent and proactive. I cannot say enough about this company. 100% recommend
Can I book a long-distance or city-to-city transfer?
Last updated:
Yes — RydAgent books long-distance and city-to-city transfers at a fixed price per vehicle, shown on the booking page as soon as you enter both places, with tolls, parking, fuel and taxes included. Tokyo Station → Hakone is ¥40,000 (Alphard) or ¥45,000 (HiAce), Tokyo Station → Karuizawa ¥62,000 or ¥74,000, and Tokyo → Osaka ¥200,000 for either vehicle, with a stop on the way at Mt. Fuji, Hakone or Nagoya included. The price is per vehicle, not per person, and you're driven door to door, hotel to hotel, with your luggage in the car the whole way.
How it works
- 1
Enter both addresses
Hotel, station or street address at each end. The fixed price for both vehicles appears straight away; the confirmation email shows the estimated drive time.
- 2
Book in time
Rides starting outside the Tokyo and Osaka–Kyoto areas can be booked online until 20:00 Japan time the day before, subject to availability; pickups far from a vehicle base also need 24 hours' notice. Booking late costs the same fixed price.
- 3
A comfort break on long rides
When the estimated drive time on your booking is over 2 hours, a toilet break at a highway service area is free.
- 4
Door to door
No station changes on the way: you and your luggage stay in the same car from start to finish.
Can we stop for sightseeing on the way?
One short stop of under 30 minutes is a transfer plus one Driver assistance add-on (¥3,000 Alphard, ¥4,000 HiAce) — say where in NOTES. Two or more stops, or one stop of 30 minutes or more, is booked as an hourly charter instead (8 hours minimum). The Tokyo → Osaka fixed price is the exception: its stop at Mt. Fuji, Hakone or Nagoya is already included.
Is a one-way charter cheaper than a transfer?
No. When a charter ends far from where it started, its price doesn't go below the transfer price between the same two places; the difference shows as a “Long-distance fee” line in the price breakdown.
