Fixed price from ¥69,000
Flight delay auto-adjust (20+ min)
Direct access for Night Festival (Dec 2–3)
By public transport, Narita to Chichibu is a 3-hour chain with 2 transfers: Narita Express to Tokyo Station, Marunouchi/Yamanote to Ikebukuro, then Seibu Red Arrow limited express to Seibu-Chichibu — mandatory seat reservations and a tight Shinjuku/Ikebukuro-area luggage transfer. During the Chichibu Night Festival (December 2–3, UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage), the trains are packed and reservations sell out weeks ahead. A private car takes you directly from the Narita arrivals gate to your Chichibu ryokan or festival entrance in about 3 to 3.5 hours via the Ken-O Expressway. Chichibu is the Saitama mountain valley known for Mitsumine Shrine, Hitsujiyama Park shibazakura (pink moss), and the December Night Festival. It is much less Western-traveled than Nikko or Hakone but rising in profile. Best for festival-weekend visitors and shrine-pilgrimage travelers who want to avoid the Red Arrow reservation chase.
