Iwate Hanamaki Airport (HNA, ICAO RJSI) is the airport for Morioka, about 43 km by road from Morioka Station. Taipei (Tigerair Taiwan, Wednesdays and Saturdays) is the scheduled international route. One terminal for all flights: check-in and the arrivals lobby are on 1F, and the bus stops and taxi rank are on the 3F drop-off deck. There is no rail link; the Iwate Kenkotsu airport bus to Morioka Station is ¥1,600, about 45 minutes, timed to the flights, with a limited number of runs a day.
