This was such an easy stress free experience. I have taken many airport transfers and this was by far the easiest and most efficient experience I have ever had. The communication was frequent and proactive. I cannot say enough about this company. 100% recommend

Komatsu Airport Transfers (KMQ)
About Komatsu Airport
Komatsu Airport (KMQ, ICAO RJNK) is the airport for Kanazawa, about 36 km by road from Kanazawa Station. Seoul (Korean Air, daily), Taipei (EVA Air daily plus Tigerair Taiwan) and Hong Kong (HK Express) fly here; the Shanghai route is suspended until late October 2026. One terminal for all flights: the domestic and international baggage halls both open onto the 1F arrivals lobby, and the information desk is on 1F. There is no rail link; the Hokutetsu limousine bus to Kanazawa Station is ¥1,400 (from 1 August 2026), about 40 minutes, with a dozen or more runs a day. RydAgent fixed-price transfers run to Kanazawa Station, Shirakawa-go, Yamashiro Onsen and Fukui. We do not yet have a driver base here — the nearest is Nagoya — so each fixed price includes the positioning cost; for one or two people the bus is the better buy, and the comparison table below says so.

Meeting point
As standard, your driver waits in the arrivals hall holding a sign with your name. Collect your bags, clear customs, walk out — the name board is the first thing you look for. If airport conditions ever make a name board impossible (peak-hour parking restrictions, for example), the driver sends you a photo and their exact location in the chat on your booking page, so you are never left searching. At Komatsu Airport the driver waits in the arrivals lobby and walks you to the car. Komatsu Airport has no rail link, so from the arrivals hall it is the airport bus, a taxi from the rank, or a booked car.
Komatsu Airport to Kanazawa Station: train, bus, taxi or private car?

Landing late at night at Komatsu Airport?
Komatsu Airport has no train; after the last airport bus, a metered taxi from the rank is the fallback. A car booked to your flight sidesteps the question — the same fixed price whatever the hour, and the driver waits 90 minutes free from the actual landing time.

Why book your Komatsu Airport transfer with RydAgent
One all-inclusive fixed price
Expressway tolls, airport parking, fuel and taxes are all inside the price. No meter, no night surcharge, and tipping is never expected.
Flight tracked, 90 minutes free waiting
We track your flight number, and the 90 minutes of free waiting are counted from the moment you actually land — a delay moves the clock, it never eats into your wait.
Message us any time on WhatsApp
Message us before and during the trip, in English — AI or a real person responds instantly. Your booking page shows your driver's name, car and plate once assigned, and usually their live location once they're on the way.
Driver no-show — your ride is free, plus ¥10,000
If our driver doesn't show, we refund the fare, cover the replacement ride you actually take, and pay ¥10,000 on top. We contact you first — you never have to claim.
Licensed commercial vehicles, professional drivers
In Japan, only cars licensed for paid passenger service (they carry green number plates) and drivers with a professional passenger licence may carry paying passengers. Every RydAgent ride uses both, including rides run by partner companies, and carries commercial passenger insurance. Private “white-plate” cars taking fares are illegal; we never use them.

Frequently Asked Questions
For one or two people with carry-ons and a hotel near the station, the airport bus (¥1,400, about 40 minutes) is the better buy. A fixed ¥59,000 car (up to 4) or ¥62,000 HiAce (up to 9) is the choice for three or more with cases, a hotel away from the station, or the places on this page the bus does not serve — about 40 minutes to Kanazawa Station door to door.
Because we do not yet have a driver base in the area — the nearest is Nagoya — and the fixed price includes the cost of positioning a car for your pickup. We would rather show that plainly than hide it in a surcharge. Prices are reviewed as local capacity is added, and the comparison table on every KMQ route page shows the airport bus and the metered taxi alongside ours so you can judge for yourself.
No. Komatsu Airport has no rail link; the Hokutetsu limousine bus to Kanazawa Station is ¥1,400 (from 1 August 2026), about 40 minutes, with a dozen or more runs a day. A car takes the group straight from the arrivals lobby to the hotel or the destinations beyond the bus route.
Yes — the highway bus to Shirakawa-go starts in Kanazawa, not at the airport, so a fixed-price car from the arrivals hall is the only single-vehicle way. Many travellers make it a charter day and continue to Takayama with the same car.
Seoul (Korean Air, daily), Taipei (EVA Air daily plus Tigerair Taiwan) and Hong Kong (HK Express) fly here; the Shanghai route is suspended until late October 2026. (Checked on the airport's site in September 2026; schedules change by season.) All of them arrive in the same terminal as the domestic flights.
No. An airport taxi is metered and hailed at the rank on the spot; a Komatsu Airport private transfer is a pre-booked car at a fixed all-inclusive price, with a named driver who tracks your flight and waits at arrivals with a name board. On longer airport runs the fixed price is usually close to or below the meter; on very short runs a taxi can be cheaper for one person — the comparison table on each KMQ route page shows both, with real fares.
Nothing changes for you. We track the flight number, and free waiting at Komatsu Airport is 90 minutes counted from the moment the flight actually lands — a delay simply moves the clock. Beyond 90 minutes, waiting is billed in 15-minute blocks (Alphard ¥6,000/hour, HiAce ¥8,000/hour). The driver never leaves without telling you.
If your arriving flight is cancelled by the airline, you choose: a free rebooking to your new flight (free waiting restarts from the new landing time) or a full refund. This applies even inside the 24-hour window before pickup — the cancellation isn't your fault, so it isn't treated as one.
A Komatsu Airport pickup can be booked online until 20:00 Japan time the day before the pickup, with instant confirmation on fixed-price routes. For a same-day pickup, message us on WhatsApp and we'll see whether a car can be arranged — it isn't guaranteed. For peak dates (cherry blossom, Golden Week, Obon, year-end) book a few days ahead so the HiAce (up to 9 passengers) is still available.
Yes. The Komatsu Airport transfer price you see is the price you pay: expressway tolls, airport parking, fuel and taxes are all inside it, and tipping is never expected. There is no late-night surcharge either — a 1 a.m. pickup costs the same as a 1 p.m. one.
Yes — ¥2,000 per seat, fitted before pickup. Tell us the children's ages when you book so the right type is installed.
The Toyota HiAce: nine passengers and nine large suitcases in one vehicle, one fixed price. The Alphard takes up to 4 passengers with 4 large cases. With fewer passengers, empty seats carry luggage too (passengers plus large suitcases up to 8 in the Alphard, 18 in the HiAce). Both are shown with prices on every Komatsu Airport route page.
Yes. The price you see is the price you pay — tolls, parking, fuel and taxes are all included, and meet & greet with a name board at arrivals is standard. Free waiting is 90 minutes from your actual landing. Tipping is never expected — never required. The only extras are options you choose yourself, such as child seats or waiting beyond the free allowance. Waiting past the free allowance is ¥6,000/hour for an Alphard and ¥8,000/hour for a HiAce, in 15-minute blocks — and your driver does not leave when it runs out: if he has another transfer after yours, we reassign it so he can keep waiting. The only exception: if we get no reply from you on any channel the day before and on the day itself, the driver may leave once the free 90 minutes from your actual landing are up.
