For one or two people with carry-ons and a hotel near the station, the airport bus (¥1,600, about 53 minutes to Beppu Station) is the better buy. A fixed ¥51,000 car (up to 4) or ¥54,000 HiAce (up to 9) is the choice for three or more with cases, a hotel away from the station, or the places on this page the bus does not serve — about 50 minutes to Beppu Station door to door.

Because we do not yet have a driver base in the area — the nearest is Fukuoka — and the fixed price includes the cost of positioning a car for your pickup. We would rather show that plainly than hide it in a surcharge. No. Oita Airport has no rail link; the Oita Kotsu Airliner express bus is ¥1,600 to Beppu Station (about 53 minutes) or Oita Station (about 58 minutes on the expressway runs), with departures adjusted to the flight arrivals. A car takes the group straight from the arrivals lobby to the hotel or the destinations beyond the bus route.

Beppu is closer — about 50 minutes — with the big bath hotels and the hells; Yufuin is inland beyond it, about an hour, with the quiet river-lane inns. Both have their own fixed price from the arrivals hall, and a car matters most for Yufuin, where the bus route needs a train change.

Seoul (Jeju Air), Busan, Muan and Taipei fly here. (Checked on the airport's site in September 2026; schedules change by season.) All of them arrive in the same terminal as the domestic flights.

No. An airport taxi is metered and hailed at the rank on the spot; a Oita Airport private transfer is a pre-booked car at a fixed all-inclusive price, with a named driver who tracks your flight and waits at arrivals with a name board. On longer airport runs the fixed price is usually close to or below the meter; on very short runs a taxi can be cheaper for one person — the comparison table on each OIT route page shows both, with real fares.

As standard, your driver waits in the arrivals hall holding a sign with your name. Collect your bags, clear customs, walk out — the name board is the first thing you look for. If airport conditions ever make a name board impossible (peak-hour parking restrictions, for example), the driver sends you a photo and their exact location in the chat on your booking page, so you are never left searching.

Nothing changes for you. We track the flight number, and free waiting at Oita Airport is 90 minutes counted from the moment the flight actually lands — a delay simply moves the clock. Beyond 90 minutes, waiting is billed in 15-minute blocks (Alphard ¥6,000/hour, HiAce ¥8,000/hour). The driver never leaves without telling you.

If your arriving flight is cancelled by the airline, you choose: a free rebooking to your new flight (free waiting restarts from the new landing time) or a full refund. This applies even inside the 24-hour window before pickup — the cancellation isn't your fault, so it isn't treated as one.

The Toyota HiAce: nine passengers and nine large suitcases in one vehicle, one fixed price. The Alphard takes up to 4 passengers with 4 large cases. With fewer passengers, empty seats carry luggage too (passengers plus large suitcases up to 8 in the Alphard, 18 in the HiAce). Both are shown with prices on every Oita Airport route page.

Yes. The price you see is the price you pay — tolls, parking, fuel and taxes are all included, and meet & greet with a name board at arrivals is standard. Free waiting is 90 minutes from your actual landing. Tipping is never expected — never required. The only extras are options you choose yourself, such as child seats or waiting beyond the free allowance. Waiting past the free allowance is ¥6,000/hour for an Alphard and ¥8,000/hour for a HiAce, in 15-minute blocks — and your driver does not leave when it runs out: if he has another transfer after yours, we reassign it so he can keep waiting. The only exception: if we get no reply from you on any channel the day before and on the day itself, the driver may leave once the free 90 minutes from your actual landing are up.
