This was such an easy stress free experience. I have taken many airport transfers and this was by far the easiest and most efficient experience I have ever had. The communication was frequent and proactive. I cannot say enough about this company. 100% recommend
How many cars do we need for a group?
Last updated:
With RydAgent, a group of up to 9 fits in one car — a Toyota HiAce carries up to 9 passengers and a Toyota Alphard up to 4 — and a group of 10 or more travels in two or more cars, each booked separately at its own fixed price. Passenger numbers are a hard limit, but empty seats can take luggage: passengers plus large suitcases can add up to 8 in an Alphard and 18 in a HiAce. A group of 28, for example, rides in 4 HiAce with 7 people each, leaving plenty of room for bags.
How to work out your cars
- 1
Count everyone
Children riding in child seats count as passengers.
- 2
Check both limits
A car fits your group when passengers stay within its limit (4 or 9) and passengers plus large suitcases stay within 8 (Alphard) or 18 (HiAce).
- 3
Split larger groups
Ten or more people, or more luggage than one car takes: divide the group between cars, keeping each car within both limits.
- 4
Book each car on its own
One booking is one car. Book each car with the same pickup, drop-off, date and time, and the number of passengers riding in it. Each booking gets its own confirmation and booking page.
Can we squeeze in more people if we bring less luggage?
No — fewer bags don't add seats. An Alphard takes up to 4 passengers and a HiAce up to 9, however light you travel. It only works the other way: empty seats can carry luggage.
Will our luggage fit?
Add passengers and large suitcases together. Six people with 10 large suitcases fit one HiAce (16 of 18); two people with 6 large suitcases fit one Alphard (8 of 8). For nine people with 10 suitcases (19), we'd suggest a second car. The luggage total is a guide for ordinary suitcases; the luggage page shows how other items count.
Do larger groups pay per person?
No. Every price is per vehicle, so a HiAce with 9 people costs the same as one with 5. Each car in a larger group is priced on its own.
