Quick AnswerRusutsu Resort gives the drive from both New Chitose Airport and Sapporo as about 90 minutes, and there is no railway — every arrival is by bus, taxi or car. The resort's own Big Runs bus from the airport costs ¥5,000 when booked online by midnight seven days before (¥5,500 if booked through the resort's inquiry form instead), runs from 28 November 2026 to 30 March 2027, and connects only with flights landing by 16:15 (domestic) or 15:20 (international). The Hokkaido Resort Liner ski bus is ¥5,500 per adult, reservation-only, daily from 1 December. The resort's taxi estimate from Rusutsu to the airport is about ¥32,800 in a small taxi or ¥45,600 in a jumbo taxi, excluding dispatch fees. A RydAgent private car from New Chitose to Rusutsu is a fixed ¥70,000 per Toyota Alphard (up to 4 passengers) or ¥77,000 per Toyota HiAce (up to 9 passengers), about 95 minutes door to door, with booking and support in English and the driver waiting 90 minutes from your actual landing — the case for it is a landing after the bus cut-off, a delayed flight, more than two bags per person (the Big Runs limit), or a fixed price agreed before you fly. You’re always in the loop — AI or a real person responds instantly, so you’re never left wondering where your driver is. Book in 30 seconds at rydagent.com — no sign-up, no login required.

Booking with RydAgent: what you get

  • Fixed price per car: tolls, parking, fuel and taxes included, no late-night surcharge or rush fee, and tipping is never expected.
  • Free waiting: 90 minutes from actual landing on airport pickups — your driver tracks the flight — and 30 minutes on other pickups; after that, ¥6,000 per hour for an Alphard or ¥8,000 for a HiAce, in 15-minute blocks (under 15 minutes is free).
  • Toyota Alphard: up to 4 passengers and 4 large suitcases (8 people and large bags in total). Toyota HiAce: up to 9 passengers and 9 large suitcases (18 in total). Ski and snowboard bags count as large bags: with a suitcase and a ski bag each, an Alphard takes two skiers at most, so three or more need the HiAce; one HiAce takes up to six of them, and seven or more need a second car or to send bags ahead. Tell us how many bags and how long they are when you book.
  • Child seats ¥2,000 each — requested at booking and fitted before pickup.
  • Book online in 30 seconds with no account or login. Airport pickups can be booked as late as 2 hours before pickup (when you book between 20:00 and 08:00 Japan time, the earliest pickup is the next 10:00 a.m.); pickups more than 50 km from the nearest partner base — most ski resorts and mountain villages — need 24 hours.
  • Free cancellation or changes up to 24 hours before pickup. If the airline cancels your flight or moves it to another day, you choose a free change or a full refund — even inside 24 hours (airport rides booked with a flight number).
  • Licensed commercial vehicles (green plates) and professional drivers, with commercial passenger insurance — including rides run by partner companies.
  • Booking and support in English. Most drivers have basic English and use a translation app to communicate; a fluent-English driver can be requested for 20% extra.

Frequently Asked Questions

Take the Big Runs bus (¥5,000 online, about 120 minutes) if your flight lands by 16:15 domestic or 15:20 international and you can book by midnight seven days ahead. Otherwise compare a taxi — the resort's estimate is about ¥32,800 in a small taxi or ¥45,600 in a jumbo taxi from Rusutsu to the airport, excluding dispatch fees — with a RydAgent private car at ¥70,000 per Toyota Alphard (up to 4 passengers) or ¥77,000 per Toyota HiAce (up to 9 passengers): the taxi estimate is lower, while RydAgent fixes the price before you fly, tracks your flight and waits 90 minutes from actual landing.

By bus, taxi or car — Rusutsu has no railway. The cheapest is the resort's Big Runs bus, about 120 minutes for ¥5,000 booked online by midnight seven days before; the Hokkaido Resort Liner is ¥5,500 and also reservation-only. A RydAgent private car is a fixed ¥70,000 for up to 4 passengers or ¥77,000 for up to 9, about 95 minutes door to door.

The resort says the bus connects with domestic flights landing by 16:15 and international flights landing by 15:20, and advises later arrivals to use another company. A RydAgent driver tracks your flight and waits 90 minutes from your actual landing at any hour.

The resort's own estimate is about ¥32,800 in a small taxi and ¥45,600 in a jumbo taxi, excluding dispatch fees and depending on season and road conditions; to Sapporo Station it is about ¥27,800 and ¥38,600.

Up to two pieces per person in the trunk — for example one suitcase plus one ski, snowboard or golf bag. Ask the resort in advance for anything more. With RydAgent, ski and board bags count as large luggage: an Alphard takes up to 4 passengers and 4 large suitcases and a HiAce up to 9 and 9, so with a suitcase and a ski bag each, an Alphard takes two skiers at most and three or more need the HiAce, one HiAce takes up to six of them, and seven or more need a second car or to send bags ahead — tell us how many bags and how long they are when you book.

Yes — RydAgent can send a car on studless winter tyres: write 'snow road' or 'winter tyres' in the booking notes and dispatch assigns one. The note is what tells dispatch, so don't leave it out.

The driver contacted us as soon as we landed in Tokyo. He provided clear instructions how to meet after we got our luggage. He had to wait an extra 30 mins since our plane was delayed. Great service, great / clean car and a nice ride to our hotel. Thanks.

— Henry Avetisyan, Jul 2026

My wife and I had a flawless experience using this transfer service from Tokyo's Haneda Airport to Central Tokyo. Although we are in our 70s, we are experienced travelers and usually take public transit or a taxi from airports to hotels. However, this was our first trip to Asia and with a 12-hour flight from Chicago, we decided that we needed to make the hotel transfer easy. And it was. Communication with the company was excellent. They messaged me through WhatsApp several times to make everything was clear. In fact, I messaged them when we landed, that the plane was an hour early and hoped they could pick us up sooner. They responded yes and sure enough our driver,John, was there to meet us past customs. John was very friendly and very professional. His English was excellent. He handled the luggage. The vehicle was comfortable. He made us feel welcome. I highly recommend them and would use them again without hesitation.

— Michael Bakov, Jul 2026

Our driver picked us up at our hotel and dropped us at Haneda Airport Departures (Terminal 3) as requested. It was a very comfortable and safe ride and the vehicle was very clean and spacious. Thank you so much!

— Valerie Pendon, Jun 2026

Great experience using this private transfer from our hotel to Haneda Airport. Booking was easy, and when we needed to adjust our pickup time, the operator was very responsive. The driver arrived on time and the ride was smooth and stress-free. Would definitely use again.

Professional service that takes the stress out of airport transfers. Our family has been to Tokyo a few times. Airport transfer by train, taxi, and private car. This service is good value, especially for groups. We had a very comfortable and well kept vehicle. Driver was very professional, polite, and easy to work with. We had an hour long flight delay and sat on the runway for 20 minutes after landing. This service was very flexible and helpful through the situation. Driver was patiently waiting when we arrived.

— Mark OBrien, Jun 2026

Karazawa Ryou was our driver. He texted us his contact info via Whatsap the day before our flight. In between flights, we learned that our connecting flight had been delayed. Instead of arriving at 9:15pm, we would now be arriving at I1:30pm. Such a significant amount of delay time...plus, arriving so much LATER at night, I was worried that our driver would no longer be able to pick us up. I notified him, and he responded, "Don't worry. I'll wait for you. See you later." He even included a smiley face! I went from panic to peace in an instant. As we were exiting the plane, I received a text from him notifying me that we had landed at Terminal 2, so it would be quicker to get out. I should let him know once we had picked up our luggage, and he would be at the exit within one minute with a sign. I was pleasantly surprised at how smoothly this process went, and the SUV exceeded my expectations. It was lush and immaculately clean. I commend the driver on his professionalism and would not hesitate to hire him again. This experience was BETTER THAN PERFECT!

— Cheryl FitzGerald, May 2026

Very nice transfer service. Very helpful and most pleasant experience. Would use them again.

— William Thornton BC Guide Dogs, May 2026

Excellent experience from start to finish. Communication before arrival was clear and professional, and the driver was waiting exactly as instructed after we cleared customs at Haneda Airport. After a long international flight, having a smooth private transfer to our hotel made a huge difference. The vehicle was clean and comfortable, the ride was efficient, and the entire process felt very organized and stress-free. We especially appreciated the prompt responses and easy coordination through WhatsApp. Highly recommend KJ Tour for anyone arriving in Tokyo and wanting a reliable, comfortable airport transfer experience.
