What pickup time should I enter for an airport pickup?

For a RydAgent airport pickup in Japan, enter the date and time your flight is scheduled to land, in Japan time, plus your flight number. That time is a reference: your driver goes by your flight's actual landing, and free waiting on pickups timed to your flight is 90 minutes from when you land — time for immigration, bags and customs. You don't need to add extra time yourself. If you want to be picked up later on purpose — after a meal or shopping at the airport — that's a set-time pickup: your driver comes at the time you give, with 30 minutes free waiting from then.

How to fill in your pickup

    Enter your landing date and time

    Use the date and time your flight lands, in Japan time — not your departure time or your home time zone. Overnight flights often land the next day.

    Add your flight number

    We check your flight when you book and follow it as your pickup approaches. If you leave it blank, we message you after booking to ask for it.

    Your driver goes by your actual landing

    Early or late, your driver goes by when your flight actually lands, and the 90 minutes of free waiting start from then. There's no need to tell us about a delay.

    Entered a much later time? We check with you

    If your pickup time is more than 90 minutes after your flight lands, we message you after booking to ask whether you have other plans at the airport. No other plans? Do nothing — we pick you up by your flight as usual.

Should I add time for immigration and baggage?

No. A later time doesn't give you more free waiting: your driver goes by your landing, and the 90 minutes from actual landing are there for immigration, bags and customs. A pickup time well after landing only tells us you may have other plans.

What if I want to be picked up later than my landing?

Tell us — reply to our message or write in the chat on your booking page — and we switch it to a set-time pickup. Your driver doesn't follow your flight and comes at the time you give, with 30 minutes of free waiting from that time. After that, whether your driver can wait longer depends on their schedule.

What if the landing time on my ticket is different?

Tell us. Airline schedules change months ahead, so if the landing time we quote in our message doesn't match your ticket, reply with the time on your ticket.

My wife and I had a flawless experience using this transfer service from Tokyo's Haneda Airport to Central Tokyo. Although we are in our 70s, we are experienced travelers and usually take public transit or a taxi from airports to hotels. However, this was our first trip to Asia and with a 12-hour flight from Chicago, we decided that we needed to make the hotel transfer easy. And it was. Communication with the company was excellent. Professional service that takes the stress out of airport transfers. Our family has been to Tokyo a few times. Airport transfer by train, taxi, and private car. This service is good value, especially for groups. We had a very comfortable and well kept vehicle. Driver was very professional, polite, and easy to work with. We had an hour long flight delay and sat on the runway for 20 minutes after landing. This service was very flexible and helpful through the situation. Driver was patiently waiting when we arrived.

Karazawa Ryou was our driver. He texted us his contact info via Whatsap the day before our flight. In between flights, we learned that our connecting flight had been delayed. Instead of arriving at 9:15pm, we would now be arriving at I1:30pm. Such a significant amount of delay time...plus, arriving so much LATER at night, I was worried that our driver would no longer be able to pick us up. I notified him, and he responded, "Don't worry. I'll wait for you. See you later." He even included a smiley face! I went from panic to peace in an instant. As we were exiting the plane, I received a text from him notifying me that we had landed at Terminal 2, so it would be quicker to get out. I should let him know once we had picked up our luggage, and he would be at the exit within one minute with a sign. I was pleasantly surprised at how smoothly this process went, and the SUV exceeded my expectations. It was lush and immaculately clean. I commend the driver on his professionalism and would not hesitate to hire him again. This experience was BETTER THAN PERFECT!
