JAL Airport Transfer by JL Flight Number: 217 Verified Japan Airlines Arrivals (JL708, JL5, JL52, JL15, JL408, oneworld 2026)

Quick AnswerFor a Japan Airlines arrival at Narita, RydAgent's fixed price is ¥24,000 for the Toyota Alphard (up to 4 passengers) and ¥30,000 for the Toyota HiAce (up to 9 passengers) to a central Tokyo address. From Haneda, RydAgent's fixed price is ¥16,000 Alphard and ¥20,000 HiAce. Tokyo Disney is ¥24,000 / ¥28,000 from Narita and ¥16,000 / ¥20,000 from Haneda, and Kansai Airport to Kyoto is ¥30,000 / ¥34,000. Tolls, parking and fuel are inside every number, there is no night rate and no peak season rate, and every airport pickup gets 90 minutes of free waiting counted from the actual touchdown. The flight data here is first party: 217 JAL arrivals across the seven JL flights we have met often enough to publish times for, led by JL708 (BKK to NRT 16:29, 81 arrivals), JL5 (JFK to HND 16:40, 35), JL52 (SYD to HND 17:45, 25), JL15 (LAX to HND 17:25, 22), JL408 (FRA to NRT 16:15, 20), JL1 (SFO to HND 15:05, 20) and JL98 (TSA to HND 18:30, 14). oneworld partner flight numbers are accepted at booking. Where these JAL times come from, and why that matters

Most pages that list Japan Airlines flight times are copying a published timetable, and timetables move with the season while airlines recycle flight numbers between routes. That is how a guide ends up describing JL708 as the evening departure back to Bangkok when the aircraft in our own records is an inbound that lands at Narita at 16:29. This page is built from the other direction. Every JL flight below is one we have collected at the kerb, and the departure airport, the departure time, the arrival airport and the arrival time come from our own dispatch records. Where a flight has shifted across the year, the time shown is the one we have met most often.

That produces seven Japan Airlines flights with enough repeat volume to publish, and 217 arrivals across them. It is a shorter list than the ones you will find elsewhere, and that is deliberate: a small list we can vouch for is worth more on arrival day than a long list nobody has checked. Departure times are local at the origin airport and arrival times are local in Japan. Treat them as the pattern we see and then check your own booking, because seasonal schedule changes do move flights.

JL708, Bangkok to Narita 16:29, our most collected JAL flight

JL708 leaves Bangkok at 10:16 and is on the ground at Narita at 16:29. We have met it 81 times, more than any other Japan Airlines flight in our records. Bags and immigration usually put you at the kerb between 17:00 and 17:30, which lands the drive into the beginning of the Higashi-Kanto evening. Plan on 70 to 95 minutes into central Tokyo rather than the hour a mapping app will quote you at 16:30.

RydAgent's fixed price is ¥24,000 for the Alphard and ¥30,000 for the HiAce, Narita to a central Tokyo address, with expressway tolls, parking and fuel inside the number and no evening rate. The driver is at the arrivals hall with a name board and the 90 minutes of free waiting run from the actual touchdown of JL708 rather than the printed 16:29.

The detail to get right on this flight is luggage rather than timing. Bangkok trips home carry more cases than people surprisingly often, and the Alphard is not a 4 passenger vehicle with an unlimited boot: with all 4 seats taken it holds 4 large cases, and only empty seats make room for more (passengers plus large cases up to 8). Give us both numbers at booking. If a party plus its bags will not fit one vehicle, we would far rather tell you before you pay than have the driver discover it at the kerb.

JL5, JL15 and JL1: the US transpacific afternoon, all at Haneda

Three Japan Airlines transpacific flights appear in our records with enough volume to publish, and the useful fact is that all three are Haneda arrivals rather than Narita ones.

  • JL5, JFK to HND 16:40, 35 arrivals
  • JL15, LAX to HND 17:25, 22 arrivals
  • JL1, SFO to HND 15:05, 20 arrivals

The airport is worth about ¥8,000 and forty minutes. Haneda to a central Tokyo hotel is ¥16,000 Alphard and ¥20,000 HiAce, against ¥24,000 and ¥30,000 from Narita. If an itinerary offers a Narita and a Haneda routing on the same day, take Haneda; the saving is real and the arrival day is shorter at both ends.

These are also the flights where the gap between the cabin and the kerb gets talked about most. It is worth being plain. We run two vehicles and only two, the Toyota Alphard for up to 4 passengers with 4 large cases and 4 cabin bags, and the Toyota HiAce for up to 9 passengers with 9 large cases. There is no sedan class and no marque to select. RydAgent does not own the vehicles or employ the drivers directly either; a partner network does, which is what lets the price hold across seasons rather than move with our own capacity. What a premium cabin and a JMB Diamond card change is the coordination: the tier goes on the booking, the driver is positioned for the faster clearance flow rather than the general queue, and free waiting runs 90 minutes from the actual touchdown, which is exactly what a transpacific arrival that lands an hour down needs.

JL52 from Sydney and JL98 from Taipei: the evening Haneda pair

JL52 leaves Sydney at 07:55 and lands Haneda at 17:45, 25 arrivals in our records. JL98 leaves Taipei Songshan at 14:20 and lands Haneda at 18:30, 14 arrivals. Both put you into the city while it is still fully awake, which is the easiest possible arrival day for a first visit to Japan and, in our experience, the flights where families most often turn up larger than the booking implied.

This is where the HiAce earns its place. Up to 9 passengers with 9 large cases in one vehicle, ¥20,000 fixed from Haneda, which is ¥2,857 a head at seven. UberXL lists up to 6 passengers, and the 9-seat jumbo taxis exist but have to be reserved in advance and are not waiting on the rank at 18:30. Without a booking, a three generation party becomes two vehicles, two fares and two arrival times at the hotel.

Child seats belong on the booking rather than the day. Infant seats, child seats and boosters are ¥2,000 each, requested at booking and fitted before the vehicle leaves. Japanese taxis are legally exempt from carrying them and do not have any on board, which catches out more arriving families than any other rule in Japan.

JL408 from Frankfurt: the European arrival at Narita

JL408 leaves Frankfurt at 03:10 and lands Narita at 16:15, 20 arrivals in our records. It sits in exactly the same window as JL708, which is worth knowing if you are coordinating two family groups arriving from different continents on the same afternoon: one vehicle can cover both if the parties and their luggage fit, and we book the later flight as the reference and track both, counting the free waiting from the later touchdown.

From Narita the fare is ¥24,000 Alphard or ¥30,000 HiAce into central Tokyo. For European arrivals going straight to the mountains rather than into the city, Narita to Hakone is ¥59,000 Alphard and ¥72,000 HiAce, and Narita to Hakuba is ¥119,000 and ¥146,000, both fixed, both with tolls inside the number.

Booking under a oneworld partner flight number

Plenty of Japan Airlines passengers are holding a boarding pass with another airline's code on it. Put whatever number is printed on the boarding pass into the booking. We track the number you give us, so you never have to work out which aircraft operates the service, and none of the fares or the waiting policy change.

oneworld arrivals we meet often, with times from our own records, include QR808 (DOH to NRT 12:55, 120 arrivals), QR806 (DOH to NRT 19:10, 104 arrivals), CX504 (HKG to NRT 14:30, 91 arrivals), BA5 (LHR to HND 10:55, 90 arrivals), CX520 (HKG to NRT 16:05, 76 arrivals), QF79 (MEL to NRT 19:00, 72 arrivals), QF59 (SYD to HND 20:10, 72 arrivals), CX548 (HKG to HND 13:55, 70 arrivals), CX542 (HKG to HND 21:35, 50 arrivals), CX526 (HKG to NRT 13:40, 48 arrivals), AA167 (JFK to HND 13:55, 45 arrivals), AA175 (DFW to HND 14:20, 45 arrivals), QF61 (BNE to NRT 18:50, 41 arrivals), BA7 (LHR to HND 07:00, 38 arrivals), AY73 (HEL to NRT 13:05, 37 arrivals), MH70 (KUL to NRT 18:05, 33 arrivals), MH88 (KUL to NRT 08:31, 33 arrivals), AA27 (LAX to HND 15:50, 28 arrivals), CX450 (TPE to NRT 17:15, 28 arrivals), AY61 (HEL to HND 13:50, 28 arrivals), IB281 (MAD to NRT 09:30, 27 arrivals), CX500 (HKG to NRT 20:50, 25 arrivals), QF25 (SYD to HND 05:25, 23 arrivals), QR812 (DOH to HND 00:05, 22 arrivals) and AA61 (DFW to NRT 15:00, 21 arrivals).

Straight to Tokyo Disney from a JAL arrival

Haneda is the better Disney airport, roughly 30 to 50 minutes by road against 50 to 70 from Narita. Haneda to a Tokyo Disney Resort hotel is ¥16,000 Alphard and ¥20,000 HiAce; Narita is ¥24,000 and ¥28,000. The Disney hotels hold standard check-in at 15:00, so an afternoon arrival such as JL5 at 16:40 or JL15 at 17:25 gives you a check-in and an evening park entry rather than a full day, while JL1 at 15:05 puts you at the hotel around 16:00.

The vehicle decision on a Disney trip is usually made by the merchandise rather than the passengers: a family of four arrives with four cases and leaves with six. If the same booking covers the departure leg, tell us and we will size the return vehicle for the way home. A departure leg carries 30 minutes of free waiting rather than 90, because there is no flight to track on the pickup side; we usually message you as soon as your driver arrives, and you can message them from your booking page. If anything goes wrong, a real person on our team steps in quickly.

Kansai, Kyoto and the days in between

Kansai Airport to a Kyoto hotel is ¥30,000 Alphard and ¥34,000 HiAce, roughly 90 minutes, with tolls, parking and fuel inside the number and no evening rate. We are not publishing JAL flight numbers into Kansai on this page, because we have not collected enough repeat Kansai arrivals on JL metal to state times we would stand behind, and a guessed timetable is worse than none.

For the days in Kyoto itself, an hourly charter is ¥8,000 per hour for the Alphard and ¥9,000 for the HiAce with an 8 hour minimum, so a full day is ¥64,000 or ¥72,000 with tolls and parking included. There is no half day product; 8 hours is the floor. Inside Tokyo the same charter is ¥7,000 and ¥8,000 an hour on the same 8 hour minimum. A driver who stays with you is what makes a Fushimi Inari start before the crowds and a Gion evening work on the same day without a station in between.

What a JAL cabin and a JMB tier actually change

Status and cabin do not change the vehicle and do not change the price. There are two vehicles and one price list. Here is what does move:

  • Waiting is measured from reality. Free waiting runs 90 minutes from the actual touchdown of your aircraft, not from the scheduled time, so an eight minute clearance and a forty minute one cost the same. Departure legs and point to point trips carry 30 minutes instead, with no name board; we usually message you as soon as your driver arrives, and you can message them from your booking page.
  • One price, whatever the clock says. Alphard ¥24,000 from Narita and ¥16,000 from Haneda, HiAce ¥30,000 and ¥20,000, with expressway tolls, parking and fuel inside the number. No night rate for a JL98 at 18:30 or a delayed arrival past midnight, and no surge at cherry blossom, Golden Week or New Year.
  • If the airline cancels your flight, you choose between a free rebook onto your new flight and a full refund, and that choice applies inside 24 hours as well as outside it. A pickup rebooked this way gets a fresh 90 minutes of free waiting from the new aircraft's actual landing.
  • Coordination rather than hardware. Tell us the tier at booking and the driver is positioned for the faster premium-cabin clearance rather than the general arrivals flow. A lounge stop before a departure is sequenced into the pickup window rather than eating the waiting allowance.
  • Booking window and child seats. An airport pickup can be booked online until 20:00 Japan time the day before you land with no rush charge, and addresses more than 50 km from a partner base also need 24 hours. Infant seats, child seats and boosters are ¥2,000 each, requested at booking and fitted before the vehicle leaves.

Where public transport still wins, honestly. One or two people with cabin bags on JL1 into Haneda at 15:05 will pay less on the monorail, and we would rather say so. The arithmetic turns at three passengers, at any arrival after about 21:00, at any party of five or more, and on any arrival where somebody is carrying a child, a buggy or sports equipment. On a party of four from Narita the Alphard is ¥6,000 a head, which is close to the Narita Express plus a station taxi once the luggage is in the boot rather than on your shoulder.

Why RydAgent for JAL arrivals

RydAgent.com is operated by PLENS Inc., a Japanese company registered in Saitama with its dispatch desk in Tokyo, and has delivered 36,000+ Narita and Haneda airport transfers through a network of 6 partner transport companies. 217 of those arrivals are the seven Japan Airlines flights on this page, which is what lets us publish times rather than repeat a timetable. We are a GetYourGuide Approved Supplier and also listed on Viator and KKday, though booking direct at rydagent.com is about 5% cheaper than the OTA markup. Dispatch is staffed around the clock in Tokyo and we answer in English, Japanese and Chinese; an AI assistant or a real person replies to a WhatsApp message immediately at any hour. Reserve now, pay later is available, so the vehicle is held while you finish the rest of the itinerary. Pricing is fixed at booking with no surge, no late-night premium and no hidden tolls, and every airport pickup gets 90 minutes of free waiting counted from actual touchdown.

Book your JAL transfer by JL flight number

Enter the flight number printed on your boarding pass, including a oneworld partner code. The driver is pre-positioned for that landing window, we text or email you a link to your booking page before your flight, and free waiting runs 90 minutes from actual touchdown with tolls and parking inside the fixed price.

Loved their service, they accommodated us even if we had last minute chnages. It was a great experience!!!

— J C

The driver contacted us as soon as we landed in Tokyo. He provided clear instructions how to meet after we got our luggage. He had to wait an extra 30 mins since our plane was delayed. Great service, great / clean car and a nice ride to our hotel. Thanks.

— Henry Avetisyan, Jul 2026

My wife and I had a flawless experience using this transfer service from Tokyo's Haneda Airport to Central Tokyo. Although we are in our 70s, we are experienced travelers and usually take public transit or a taxi from airports to hotels. However, this was our first trip to Asia and with a 12-hour flight from Chicago, we decided that we needed to make the hotel transfer easy. And it was. Communication with the company was excellent. They messaged me through WhatsApp several times to make everything was clear. In fact, I messaged them when we landed, that the plane was an hour early and hoped they could pick us up sooner. They responded yes and sure enough our driver,John, was there to meet us past customs. John was very friendly and very professional. His English was excellent. He handled the luggage. The vehicle was comfortable. He made us feel welcome. I highly recommend them and would use them again without hesitation.

— S Lund, May 2026

Great experience with this taxi service from the customer service to the driver and the car everything works like a clock

— Michael Bakov, Jul 2026

Our driver picked us up at our hotel and dropped us at Haneda Airport Departures (Terminal 3) as requested. It was a very comfortable and safe ride and the vehicle was very clean and spacious. Thank you so much!

— Valerie Pendon, Jun 2026

Great experience using this private transfer from our hotel to Haneda Airport. Booking was easy, and when we needed to adjust our pickup time, the operator was very responsive. The driver arrived on time and the ride was smooth and stress-free. Would definitely use again.

— Karen Kiefer-Fujimoto, Jun 2026

Professional service that takes the stress out of airport transfers. Our family has been to Tokyo a few times. Airport transfer by train, taxi, and private car. This service is good value, especially for groups. We had a very comfortable and well kept vehicle. Driver was very professional, polite, and easy to work with. We had an hour long flight delay and sat on the runway for 20 minutes after landing. This service was very flexible and helpful through the situation. Driver was patiently waiting when we arrived.

— Mark OBrien, Jun 2026

Karazawa Ryou was our driver. He texted us his contact info via Whatsap the day before our flight. In between flights, we learned that our connecting flight had been delayed. Instead of arriving at 9:15pm, we would now be arriving at I1:30pm. Such a significant amount of delay time...plus, arriving so much LATER at night, I was worried that our driver would no longer be able to pick us up. I notified him, and he responded, "Don't worry. I'll wait for you. See you later." He even included a smiley face! I went from panic to peace in an instant. As we were exiting the plane, I received a text from him notifying me that we had landed at Terminal 2, so it would be quicker to get out. I should let him know once we had picked up our luggage, and he would be at the exit within one minute with a sign. I was pleasantly surprised at how smoothly this process went, and the SUV exceeded my expectations. It was lush and immaculately clean. I commend the driver on his professionalism and would not hesitate to hire him again. This experience was BETTER THAN PERFECT!

— Cheryl FitzGerald, May 2026

Very nice transfer service. Very helpful and most pleasant experience. Would use them again.

— William Thornton BC Guide Dogs, May 2026

If you ever find yourself in Tokyo and need an airport transfer or chauffeur service, I can highly recommend RydAgent. The vehicles are spacious and very well maintained. The drivers are extremely courteous and helpful. And the service is sensational! Many thanks to the whole team at RydAgent.
