Bangkok to Tokyo: Real Airport Transfer Patterns from 285 Verified Arrivals and 577 Departures (NH878, JL708, TG676, TG677 by Flight 2026)

Quick AnswerBangkok to Japan airport transfer 2026, priced per vehicle: RydAgent's fixed price is ¥16,000 Haneda to Tokyo (Alphard) or ¥20,000 (HiAce), and RydAgent's fixed price is ¥24,000 Narita to Tokyo (Alphard) or ¥30,000 (HiAce). Haneda to Tokyo Disney ¥16,000 / ¥20,000; Narita to Tokyo Disney ¥24,000 / ¥28,000. Haneda to Hakone ¥46,000 / ¥59,000; Narita to Hakone ¥59,000 / ¥72,000. Chitose to Niseko ¥70,000 / ¥77,000. Two vehicles only: Alphard up to 4 passengers with 4 large bags, HiAce up to 9 with 9. First-party data: 285 Bangkok arrivals across the five flights we can verify from our own booking records — NH878 BKK to HND, arriving 22:15 (96 pickups), JL708 BKK to NRT, arriving 16:29 (81), NH848 BKK to HND, arriving 18:00 (50), TG676 BKK to NRT, arriving 15:55 (35), TG660 BKK to HND, arriving 21:10 (23). Every one of them lands in the afternoon or at night; none lands at dawn. The dawn flights other guides describe are departures out of Japan: TG677 leaves Narita around 17:25 (265 drop-offs), TG643 around 12:00 (160), NH805 around 19:20 (152), TG661 leaves Haneda in the small hours and TG683 in the late morning. All times shown are Japan time; arrivals are the landing times we see most often and departures are the Japan-airport departure times. The seasonal timetable moves both, so check your own ticket. No night surcharge, no rush fee, and airport pickups bookable online until 20:00 Japan time the day before the ride. Book in 30 seconds at rydagent.com. No account, no login.

Every Bangkok arrival we can verify lands in the afternoon or at night

This is the single most useful thing in this guide, so it goes first. Across the five Bangkok to Tokyo services we can verify from our own booking records, covering 285 pickups, the earliest landing is 15:55 and the latest is 22:15. Not one of them arrives in the morning.

That matters because a great deal of Thailand to Japan transfer content is built around the opposite premise: the jet-lagged dawn arrival, the seven-hour wait for a 15:00 check-in, the bell-desk luggage drop and breakfast in Marunouchi. It is a well-told story and it does not describe any flight we actually meet. What it describes, we suspect, is somebody reading a Thai Airways timetable in the wrong direction, because the dawn flights are real, they are just leaving Japan rather than arriving.

Here is the verified arrival list, with the landing times we see most often:

  • NH878, BKK → HND, arriving 22:15, 96 pickups. Our busiest Bangkok flight by a clear margin, and a night arrival.
  • JL708, BKK → NRT, arriving 16:29, 81 pickups. Late afternoon at Narita.
  • NH848, BKK → HND, arriving 18:00, 50 pickups. Straight into the evening peak at Haneda.
  • TG676, BKK → NRT, arriving 15:55, 35 pickups. The earliest arrival on the list and the best first evening.
  • TG660, BKK → HND, arriving 21:10, 23 pickups. A night arrival at Haneda.

Timetables move by season, so treat every time here as the common schedule and check your own ticket. Flights we have never met are absent, which makes this list shorter than an airline timetable and considerably more reliable than one.

The night arrivals: NH878 (HND 22:15) and TG660 (HND 21:10)

Between them these two are 119 of our 285 Bangkok pickups, and they are the arrivals where a car booked in advance stops being a comfort purchase. NH878 is the busiest Bangkok flight we meet at 96 pickups, landing at Haneda at 22:15. TG660 lands at 21:10, 23 pickups.

On NH878 you are usually landside around 22:50. Haneda's rail links are still running then but thinning, and the onward connections from Hamamatsucho or Shinagawa finish earlier than most visitors expect, so a family with checked bags is realistically choosing between a metered taxi at late-night rates and something arranged beforehand. RydAgent's fixed price is ¥16,000 for an Alphard from Haneda to a central Tokyo hotel and ¥20,000 for a HiAce (up to 9 passengers), and it is the same at 23:00 as at midday. There is no night surcharge, no rush fee and no peak-season uplift.

The parts that actually matter on a late landing are the ones you cannot see in the price. The driver tracks the flight, so a 40-minute delay does not cost you the car. He is at the arrivals gate with a name board rather than telephoning from a car park. And waiting is free for 90 minutes from your actual touchdown rather than from the scheduled arrival time, which is precisely the window a night arrival with a long immigration queue needs. If you are booking late, airport pickups can be booked online until 20:00 Japan time the day before the ride with no rush fee, though an address more than 50 km from our bases also needs 24 hours.

The afternoon arrivals: TG676 (NRT 15:55), JL708 (NRT 16:29) and NH848 (HND 18:00)

These three are the flights that leave you something of a first day, and they are 166 of our 285 pickups.

  • TG676, BKK → NRT, arriving 15:55, 35 pickups. The earliest Bangkok arrival we meet. Clear by about 16:45 and you are at a central Tokyo hotel around 18:00, which is a dinner rather than an afternoon but is the best of the five. RydAgent's fixed price is ¥24,000 for an Alphard or ¥30,000 for a HiAce.
  • JL708, BKK → NRT, arriving 16:29, 81 pickups. Our second busiest Bangkok flight. Half an hour behind TG676 and functionally the same transfer, with a hotel arrival around 18:30. Same ¥24,000 and ¥30,000.
  • NH848, BKK → HND, arriving 18:00, 50 pickups. Lands at Haneda squarely in the evening peak, so the run into town takes longer than the usual 25 to 40 minutes and a hotel arrival around 19:15 is realistic. The fixed price is ¥16,000 for an Alphard or ¥20,000 for a HiAce and does not change for the traffic.

On all three, hotels will hold your luggage if you would rather drop bags and go straight out, and the 15:00 standard check-in is long past by the time you arrive, so the awkward wait that dominates other Bangkok guides simply does not arise.

If you are flying home: TG677, TG643, NH805, TG661, TG683

Our Bangkok book is larger on the way out than on the way in, and by some distance. TG677 alone accounts for 265 drop-offs, more than our entire Bangkok arrival volume for a single flight, and TG643 adds 160 drop-offs and NH805 another 152. If you have read a Thailand transfer article that treats these as arrivals, this section is the correction.

  • TG677 leaves Narita around 17:25 for Bangkok. 265 drop-offs, our single biggest Thai Airways movement in either direction.
  • TG643 leaves Narita around 12:00 for Bangkok. 160 drop-offs.
  • NH805 leaves Narita around 19:20 for Bangkok. 152 drop-offs.
  • TG661 leaves Haneda in the small hours for Bangkok. A genuine after-midnight departure, which means a hotel pickup around 21:00 the evening before.
  • TG683 leaves Haneda in the late morning for Bangkok, so a hotel pickup around 08:00.

RydAgent's fixed price is ¥24,000 for an Alphard from a central Tokyo hotel to Narita and ¥16,000 to Haneda, with a HiAce at ¥30,000 and ¥20,000. The usual request is a pickup three and a half hours before a Narita departure, allowing 60 to 90 minutes on the road plus a two-hour airport buffer, and two and a half hours before a Haneda departure. For TG677 at 17:25 that means leaving the hotel around 14:00; for TG643 at 12:00, around 08:30.

Departures work differently from arrivals in three ways and we would rather set the expectation than surprise you at the door. There is no name board, because you know where your own car is. Free waiting is 30 minutes rather than 90, since there is no clearance queue to absorb. And we usually message you as soon as your driver arrives, so you are not scanning a hotel forecourt; you can also message them from your booking page. If anything goes wrong, a real person on our team steps in quickly. TG661 at just after midnight deserves one extra note: a pickup around 21:00 means you will want the hotel to hold your luggage after the standard checkout that morning, which every property will do, but it is worth arranging rather than assuming.

If you are a Bangkok family heading to Tokyo Disney

Families are a steady share of our Bangkok bookings, particularly around the Thai school break through March and April and again in the November to December dry season. Two things decide the plan: the airport and the number of people.

  • Haneda to the Disney resort area (NH848 at 18:00, TG660 at 21:10, NH878 at 22:15): Alphard ¥16,000 or HiAce ¥20,000, about 30 minutes.
  • Narita to the Disney resort area (TG676 at 15:55, JL708 at 16:29): Alphard ¥24,000 or HiAce ¥28,000, about 60 minutes.
  • Five or more people: take the HiAce, which carries up to 9 passengers with 9 large bags. An Alphard tops out at 4 passengers, and a family of five with a pushchair and a week of Disney luggage is past that line before anyone has bought a souvenir.
  • Child seats: ¥2,000 each for infant, toddler or booster. Japanese traffic law requires a restraint for under-sixes in a private vehicle. Seats are fitted before the vehicle leaves.

It is worth being clear that for a party of five this is not a choice between a private car and a cheaper equivalent, because there is no single-vehicle equivalent. UberXL's own site lists up to 6 seats, and Japan's nine-seat jumbo taxis have to be reserved in advance rather than hailed at the rank. The realistic alternative is two cars, two luggage loads and two arrival times at the hotel door, at the end of a six-hour flight with three tired children.

On the timing: every one of these flights lands after the 15:00 Disney hotel check-in, so you go straight to the desk rather than to the luggage store. On NH878 at 22:15 you reach the hotel around 23:15, which is a sleep rather than an evening, and the first park day starts the next morning.

If you want to skip Tokyo for a ryokan

Going straight from the airport to Hakone or Kawaguchiko is a fixed transfer rather than a charter, so it is one price with tolls, parking and fuel included: Narita to Hakone ¥59,000 Alphard or ¥72,000 HiAce, roughly two and a half to three hours; Haneda to Hakone ¥46,000 or ¥59,000, closer to two hours. The Mount Fuji and Kawaguchiko area prices the same: ¥59,000 or ¥72,000 from Narita, ¥46,000 or ¥59,000 from Haneda.

Match it to your actual landing time before committing, because the Bangkok arrivals are late. TG676 into Narita at 15:55 or JL708 at 16:29 both reach a Hakone ryokan around 19:00, which is late for the standard kaiseki dinner service and worth telling the property in advance so they can hold it or adjust. On NH878 at 22:15 or TG660 at 21:10 a same-night ryokan run is not sensible, and the usual plan is a night in Tokyo first, then the road leg the next morning at the same fixed price.

If what you want is a day out with the driver waiting at the onsen rather than a one-way transfer, that is a charter and prices differently: ¥8,000 per hour for an Alphard and ¥9,000 for a HiAce once the pickup, any stop or the drop-off is outside the Tokyo metropolis, with an eight-hour minimum and no half-day option, plus empty running time billed at half the driving time rounded down to the nearest half hour.

If you are heading to Kansai

We have no verified Bangkok to Kansai flight in our own booking records, so we are not going to invent a flight number and a landing time for one. Services exist; we simply have not met them, and every flight in this guide is one we have actually met, which is the entire basis on which it is worth reading.

What we can price is the ground, and it is fixed: Kansai Airport to Kyoto ¥30,000 Alphard or ¥34,000 HiAce, roughly 90 minutes. Kansai Airport to central Osaka ¥19,000 or ¥24,000, about an hour. Kyoto to Osaka ¥32,000 or ¥35,000 if you are moving between the two mid-trip. A common shape for Thai travellers doing both halves of the country is to fly into Tokyo on one of the flights above, take the Shinkansen themselves, and have a car meet them for the Kansai road legs. Most travellers book their Shinkansen seats directly with JR online — send us the train times and the car will be waiting at the station. The same dispatcher holds every road leg under one passenger reference so nobody restarts the conversation in each city.

If you are going skiing in Niseko

Bangkok's interest in Hokkaido powder has grown steadily, and the bookings concentrate from late December through the Lunar New Year weeks. Chitose to Niseko is two to two and a half hours by road through Otaru and Kutchan, and RydAgent's fixed price is ¥70,000 for an Alphard or ¥77,000 for a HiAce (up to 9 passengers). Winter tyres are standard from November through April.

The gear decides the vehicle rather than the headcount. With a suitcase and a ski bag each, an Alphard suits up to two skiers, so for two couples sharing kit we would suggest the HiAce. Six people travelling properly is around 18 oversized pieces once you count ski or board bags, boot bags and suitcases, and six skiers with a suitcase and a ski bag each is as many as we would suggest for one HiAce, at ¥12,833 a head; for more gear than that we'd suggest a second vehicle or sending skis ahead. For a group of eight, two Alphards comes to ¥140,000; with full ski kit we would suggest a HiAce plus a second car, or sending the skis ahead by takkyubin courier. Book the return at the same time; it is the same fixed price and the driver is pre-positioned for your specific departure.

One honest limit: we have Bangkok flight numbers in our own records for the Tokyo routes, which is what this guide is built on, but not for the Sapporo connection. Check that leg with your airline rather than trusting a flight number quoted in an article, this one included.

Asakusa, Senso-ji and the eastern wards

Senso-ji is a recurring request from Thai visitors, and the cross-cultural interest in it as a Mahayana counterpart to Theravada practice is genuine rather than a marketing line. The practical advice is about timing: the temple approach is quiet before about 09:00 and busy for the rest of the day, so staying in Asakusa itself is what makes an early visit possible.

None of the verified Bangkok arrivals gets you there on the day you land. TG676 at Narita 15:55 is the earliest, and an Asakusa hotel arrival around 17:45 leaves you an evening walk to the Kaminarimon rather than a quiet morning at the temple. RydAgent's fixed price to Asakusa is the same ¥24,000 for an Alphard from Narita as to any central district, or ¥16,000 from Haneda, and the eastern wards are the one part of Tokyo where Narita is genuinely closer than Haneda, which narrows the gap between the two arrivals to 20 or 30 minutes rather than the usual 35 to 50.

Times are Japan time and are the ones we see most often; they move with the seasonal timetable, so check your own ticket. Prices are per vehicle rather than per person and include expressway tolls, parking and fuel. Charters, where the driver waits and returns, are separate: ¥7,000 per hour for an Alphard within the Tokyo metropolis and ¥8,000 outside it, with an eight-hour minimum and no half-day option.

Private car against the Narita Express, the limousine bus or the monorail: per person, public transport wins for one or two travellers with light bags. It reverses for a family of three or more, for the Disney run, for any group of five to nine where there is no single-vehicle alternative at all, and above all for NH878 and TG660, where the landing is at night and the comparison is not car against train but car against a late-night metered taxi. For a family of four the private car is ¥4,000 to ¥6,000 a head depending on the airport, close enough to the train plus a taxi that the deciding factor is usually the luggage rather than the fare.

Why RydAgent for Bangkok to Japan transfers

RydAgent.com is operated by PLENS Inc. in Tokyo, with 36,000+ Narita and Haneda transfers handled since early 2024 through our partner network. On the Bangkok routes we can verify 285 arrivals across five flights and a further 577 departure drop-offs on TG677, TG643 and NH805. Every flight number, airport and time in this guide comes from that record rather than from a timetable scrape, which is how we know TG677 and TG643 are departures and why we will not quote you a Kansai flight we have never met.

There are two vehicles and no others: the Alphard for up to 4 passengers with 4 large bags, and the HiAce for up to 9 with 9. The price is fixed when you book and includes expressway tolls, parking and fuel, with no late-night premium and no peak-season uplift, which on NH878 at 22:15 is the whole point. Every airport pickup includes a name board at the arrivals gate, flight tracking so the driver is in place if you land early, and 90 minutes of free waiting from your actual touchdown. Departures and point-to-point rides include 30 minutes of free waiting instead, without a name board; we usually message you as soon as your driver arrives, and you can message them from your booking page. Airport pickups can be booked online until 20:00 Japan time the day before the ride, with no rush fee; an address more than 50 km from our bases also needs 24 hours. Child seats are ¥2,000 each, requested at booking and fitted before the vehicle leaves. You can reserve now and pay later, and if the airline cancels your flight you choose between a free rebooking and a full refund, inside 24 hours as well. Our dispatcher works in English, Japanese and Chinese, and we will say honestly which of those a given driver speaks rather than implying that everyone speaks everything. We are a GetYourGuide Approved Supplier and also listed on Viator and KKday, so you can book direct or through a brand you already use.

Book your Bangkok to Japan transfer by flight number

Give us the flight number and the driver is pre-positioned for that landing. With a Thai mobile number you won't get our text messages: before your flight we email you a link to your booking page, and messages from your driver or our team, plus the arrival notice, come by WhatsApp and email. Departure transfers are booked the same way, with the pickup time worked back from your check-in.

  • → Haneda to a Tokyo hotel ¥16,000 Alphard / ¥20,000 HiAce (NH878 at 22:15, TG660 at 21:10, NH848 at 18:00) — book at rydagent.com/booking
  • → Narita to a Tokyo hotel ¥24,000 Alphard / ¥30,000 HiAce (JL708 at 16:29, TG676 at 15:55)
  • → Flying home on TG677, TG643 or NH805? Those are Narita departures. Hotel pickup around 14:00, 08:30 and 15:50 respectively, with 30 minutes of free waiting and no name board.
  • → Tokyo Disney ¥16,000 / ¥20,000 from Haneda, or ¥24,000 / ¥28,000 from Narita, child seats ¥2,000 each
  • → Straight to a ryokan: Haneda to Hakone or Kawaguchiko ¥46,000 / ¥59,000, Narita ¥59,000 / ¥72,000
  • → Night arrivals (NH878 22:15, TG660 21:10): same fixed price, no night surcharge, 90 minutes of free waiting from actual touchdown, bookable online until 20:00 Japan time the day before

Travelling as five or more with luggage to match, choose the HiAce at ¥20,000 from Haneda or ¥30,000 from Narita, or ask for two Alphards in the booking notes. Add the seats you need when you book; they are fitted before the vehicle leaves.

Loved their service, they accommodated us even if we had last minute chnages. It was a great experience!!!

— J C

The driver contacted us as soon as we landed in Tokyo. He provided clear instructions how to meet after we got our luggage. He had to wait an extra 30 mins since our plane was delayed. Great service, great / clean car and a nice ride to our hotel. Thanks.

— Henry Avetisyan, Jul 2026

My wife and I had a flawless experience using this transfer service from Tokyo's Haneda Airport to Central Tokyo. Although we are in our 70s, we are experienced travelers and usually take public transit or a taxi from airports to hotels. However, this was our first trip to Asia and with a 12-hour flight from Chicago, we decided that we needed to make the hotel transfer easy. And it was. Communication with the company was excellent. They messaged me through WhatsApp several times to make everything was clear. In fact, I messaged them when we landed, that the plane was an hour early and hoped they could pick us up sooner. They responded yes and sure enough our driver,John, was there to meet us past customs. John was very friendly and very professional. His English was excellent. He handled the luggage. The vehicle was comfortable. He made us feel welcome. I highly recommend them and would use them again without hesitation.

— S Lund, May 2026

Great experience with this taxi service from the customer service to the driver and the car everything works like a clock

— Michael Bakov, Jul 2026

Our driver picked us up at our hotel and dropped us at Haneda Airport Departures (Terminal 3) as requested. It was a very comfortable and safe ride and the vehicle was very clean and spacious. Thank you so much!

— Valerie Pendon, Jun 2026

Great experience using this private transfer from our hotel to Haneda Airport. Booking was easy, and when we needed to adjust our pickup time, the operator was very responsive. The driver arrived on time and the ride was smooth and stress-free. Would definitely use again.

— Karen Kiefer-Fujimoto, Jun 2026

Professional service that takes the stress out of airport transfers. Our family has been to Tokyo a few times. Airport transfer by train, taxi, and private car. This service is good value, especially for groups. We had a very comfortable and well kept vehicle. Driver was very professional, polite, and easy to work with. We had an hour long flight delay and sat on the runway for 20 minutes after landing. This service was very flexible and helpful through the situation. Driver was patiently waiting when we arrived.

— Mark OBrien, Jun 2026

Karazawa Ryou was our driver. He texted us his contact info via Whatsap the day before our flight. In between flights, we learned that our connecting flight had been delayed. Instead of arriving at 9:15pm, we would now be arriving at I1:30pm. Such a significant amount of delay time...plus, arriving so much LATER at night, I was worried that our driver would no longer be able to pick us up. I notified him, and he responded, "Don't worry. I'll wait for you. See you later." He even included a smiley face! I went from panic to peace in an instant. As we were exiting the plane, I received a text from him notifying me that we had landed at Terminal 2, so it would be quicker to get out. I should let him know once we had picked up our luggage, and he would be at the exit within one minute with a sign. I was pleasantly surprised at how smoothly this process went, and the SUV exceeded my expectations. It was lush and immaculately clean. I commend the driver on his professionalism and would not hesitate to hire him again. This experience was BETTER THAN PERFECT!

— Cheryl FitzGerald, May 2026

Very nice transfer service. Very helpful and most pleasant experience. Would use them again.

— William Thornton BC Guide Dogs, May 2026

If you ever find yourself in Tokyo and need an airport transfer or chauffeur service, I can highly recommend RydAgent. The vehicles are spacious and very well maintained. The drivers are extremely courteous and helpful. And the service is sensational! Many thanks to the whole team at RydAgent.
