For most people on this route: take public transport. The train is 0.5–1 hr with 0–3 transfer(s) at ¥300 per person; the drive is about 30 min but costs ¥16,000. We're the more expensive option here and we'd rather say so. A private car earns its price on this route only in specific cases: you're 5–9 people or carrying more suitcases than a sedan holds (the HiAce seats 9 with 9 large cases); you need child seats fitted (¥2,000 each, booked ahead); you're arriving after the last train; or you simply don't want to move luggage through stations with kids or elderly parents in tow.
The most direct rail route is the JR Keiyō Line (ＪＲ京葉線) — 0.5–1 hr in total with 0–3 transfer(s), around ¥300–900 per person. No reservation needed — just tap a Suica or Pasmo IC card (or buy a paper ticket from the machines) and board any train. If that works for your group and your luggage, take it — it's cheaper than we are and we'd rather you got there happily than overpaid us.

A taxi's real advantage is that it's there without booking, and for one or two people with light bags that's often the sensible choice — we won't pretend otherwise. Where it fits less well is the longer run to Tokyo Station. The fare is metered — for this distance it runs about ¥10,000 with the expressway tolls and booking fee on top, and the meter climbs higher in heavy traffic or with a 20% night surcharge between 22:00 and 05:00. Booked through an app, the figure you accept at request time is an estimate — the card is charged whatever the meter and the taxi company's pickup fee actually come to. A sedan taxi seats only 4 with room for a bag or two, can't fit a child seat, and with a language barrier it's hard to explain exactly where you need to go. We're fixed at ¥16,000 — a guaranteed all-in price, with tolls and any night surcharge included; no pickup fee, no return fee, no clock running at red lights or in traffic, and apart from waiting beyond the free allowance nothing else is ever charged — and you get a premium Alphard or a HiAce (up to 9 passengers), child seats on request, and a driver who picks you up at your door, on time.
A note before comparing: Uber's premium tiers (Black / Premier) only cover pickups in Japan's major metro areas and a handful of airports, and Tokyo Disneyland isn't on Uber's published coverage list as of July 2026 — so for this pickup it's usually not a bookable option at all. Uber's standard tier, where the app has cars, dispatches a regular metered taxi (about ¥10,000 here). Our fixed ¥16,000 is booked and confirmed in advance with tolls included, with a HiAce (up to 9 passengers) available — in areas like this, pre-arranged is really the only door-to-door that you can count on.

And since nothing bookable at a taxi rank, on Uber or on a chauffeur app in Japan seats more than 5, from 6 people the van isn't just competitive per person — it's the only way the whole group rides in one vehicle.
The Alphard seats up to 4 with 4 large suitcases plus personal bags on your lap; the HiAce seats up to 9 with 9 large suitcases — a full-size van that Uber and the taxi apps don't offer (their largest options seat 5) and that jumbo taxis only match by advance reservation through a taxi company, so your whole group stays together in one vehicle. We can't judge your bags for you, so if you're near the limit book the larger vehicle. Infant and child seats (both forward-facing) and booster cushions are ¥2,000 each and need to be booked in advance.
A private transfer is a direct point-to-point ride, not a sightseeing tour, so we don't make photo or sightseeing stops en route. Yes. The price you see is the price you pay — tolls, parking, fuel and taxes are all included. Free waiting at pickup is 30 minutes. Tipping is never expected — never required. The only extras are options you choose yourself, such as child seats or waiting beyond the free allowance. Waiting past the free allowance is ¥6,000/hour for an Alphard and ¥8,000/hour for a HiAce, in 15-minute blocks — and your driver does not leave when it runs out: if he has another transfer after yours, we reassign it so he can keep waiting.
