No — Itami is officially domestic-only. International arrivals into the Osaka area use Kansai International Airport (KIX), or Kobe Airport for some routes. You reach Itami on a domestic connection, typically from Haneda or Narita after a long-haul flight.

The monorail is fine for one person heading to a station on the Hankyu or Midosuji lines, with a change. For a family, luggage, a Kyoto hotel or an Osaka hotel that isn't on a monorail connection, a fixed ¥16,000 car for up to 4 goes door to door in about 30 minutes with no change.

As standard, your driver waits in the arrivals hall holding a sign with your name. Collect your bags, clear customs, walk out — the name board is the first thing you look for. If airport conditions ever make a name board impossible (peak-hour parking restrictions, for example), the driver sends you a photo and their exact location in the chat on your booking page, so you are never left searching.

Nothing changes for you. We track the flight number, and free waiting at Itami Airport is 90 minutes counted from the moment the flight actually lands — a delay simply moves the clock. Beyond 90 minutes, waiting is billed in 15-minute blocks (Alphard ¥6,000/hour, HiAce ¥8,000/hour). The driver never leaves without telling you.

Free waiting is 90 minutes from your actual landing. Tipping is never expected — never required. The only extras are options you choose yourself, such as child seats or waiting beyond the free allowance. Waiting past the free allowance is ¥6,000/hour for an Alphard and ¥8,000/hour for a HiAce, in 15-minute blocks — and your driver does not leave when it runs out: if he has another transfer after yours, we reassign it so he can keep waiting.
